I'm seriously contemplating a propex heater that is mounted under my RTT with a hose that goes up though the floor to heat. It's allot of money but than again I live North of 60, and extending spring/fall camping season is in my best interest. Has anyone here done that yet?

I used one in my canopy without any windows open or anything. Id compare that to a sealed up annex RTT (maybe a bit more airflow). I never had any problems. I kept a CO Detector in the canopy and it never went off or anything though. Plan to do the same when its colder out

Set an alarm like 20 mins before you wake up, cut it on, wake up and not rush to put clothes back on.. I like that idea too. Honestly once you settle in the sleeping bag for the night (my case a 0* bag) i just dont like waking up and getting out my warm sack and into the cold D:

My wife likes to run it all night, happy wife happy life. She still doesn't believe me when I tell her the less clothes you wear the warmer you are in a sleeping bag. Something about ulterior motives...

I went to East VA for a huge tacoma meet and i thought i was going to sleep in the BED of my truck with just a thin thin sheet to warm me... Saw @HomerTaco with a RTT and i was sold immediately.. xD i did eventually get back in my truck and run the heat all night while i slept.

A good warm nights rest is severely underrated

I came home from doing an expo all weekend to find that my puppy had gotten into the shed and pulled one item out and destroyed it. My 700 dollar -40 degree sub three pound down Montbell sleeping bag. We almost lost a puppy that day.

Man ill never forget my coldest night. Actually at the fing Crystal Mountain Ski Resort parking lot lol. Did a New Years Eve party up there with a friend and stayed in the back of a Tahoe. Had my old North Face Cats Meow (32 degree synthetic), a wool blanket, plus all my ski stuff on. Still froze my fing ass off. Brian might remember the winter we had 3 or 4 winters ago where it was super cold here. Yeah well that night was 0 when i checked (at like 9pm) with a constant 40 degree wind. Was shivering all night. Actually had to start the Tahoe the next morning and let it heat up just to open the doors as they had froze shut.

I said never again to that shit and bought the Mr Buddy soon as i got home lol.

Still need ot pick up a new 0 degree bag though. I love my Western Mountaineering 32 degree bag so ill probably stick with that brand. It kept me nice and toasty one our Idaho trip which was good cause i didnt expect it to be as cold as it was!

Yup I remember that.. My coldest night was last February. Me, @Greddy and @JDAM went wheeling and then camping up Manastash ridge. Found a camp spot at 5500ft.. The next morning I wake up and it was between 4-7 degrees.. I told myself never again unless I get a better heater

Last week my pup decided to sample the entire menu, I lost my motorcycle seat, the rubber on my foot rests, and my mountain bike seat...I've never in my life been more tempted to kick a dog... But in the end it was my fault for leaving him with access to my things, and after a couple hours and a little something to calm me down, I let him back in the house...

Puppies are like kids. If you leave them alone enough, they will cause trouble or get into trouble.

Mines on at all times. Dude just up your rental insurance policy. They're dirt cheap. Make sure your policy will cover your truck and call em to make sure it's covered. Register it with them for more than you paid and if someone steals it, you'll have a headache to deal with but should end up with a brand New tent out of it.

But in reality, dirtbags grab low hanging fruit they can resell- like lightbars and rims. Some security nuts on it and you should be fine. Even with two people a rtt is a fuckin pain to move around. Its not gonna be a quick steal.

Maybe not the best thread to ask in but how much would you guys be willing to pay for a 4 year old snugtop rebel with a Thule roof rack that is color matched to your silver long bed tacoma? There is a truck for sale with it and he said that if I offered him a decent price for just the shell, it was mine. Great condition and it was originally 1800 4 years ago.

    Thanks in advance for advice!
