Tacoma Roof Light Bar

What's going on guys.. I just ordered my 50" lightbar and mounting brackets. Anyone have any input before I attempt?

 

You're gonna get a super annoying whistle noise from the wind. Putting strips of edge trim will eliminate that.

 

What do you mean strips of edge trim?

 

To go on the back fins. You'll see what I mean by whistle.

 

OK cool thanks man. Did you put it on every fin? Or just a few? Can't tell on the pic.

 

I taped off a few, drove around and isolated which ones were making the noise. Simple pieces of tape will easily stop the vibrations from the wind.

Do you guys end up drilling a hole in the roof for the wire? If so where is the best spot?

 

Run it down your A pillar to the hood. Don't drill.

 

This is what I did. I also have a white taco and used white silicone to cover the wiring, can't even tell it's there.

 

Would you mind posting up a picture? Mine is white as well. So basically along side the windshield?

 

I'll let him post a pic but yes. You can jam it in the windshield and it will stay.
