Alright got the 887s installed correctly now! Nitrocharger sport shocks, full Dakars, LR UCAs, and some fresh new 285's...yes they rub, need to trim a little more. The truck handles amazing on the trail now. image.jpg

Getting ready to install my lift friday night! 886s with Dakars in the rear and total chaos UCA. Bumper and winch hopefully the following day.

Any pro tips are majorly appreciated. I have the install threads printed out to use as a reference...My friend who is helping me is a mechanic, so we should be good right? Stoked to try to finally get this done.

Got my OME kit on last night. My 1st gen now clunks when accelerating & braking. It looks like the drive shaft is clunking at the center support bearing. I had to pull the rear diff forward to get the Dakars installed. I think there is some axle wrap happening here. Or I changed the pinion angle. Has anyone else ran into this issue? And did you shim the rear diff or get it to move back?

It was purchased from wheelers. As soon as I had to shift the rear differential forward to make the Dakars fit I figured I would have a different drive line issue. I am in contact with them now and trying to to sort out whether the shims & carrier support drop was suppose to be included.

My OME kit didn't come with CB drop or shims.

I haven't noticed any that do (I haven't looked that hard, though).

Spoke with Wheelers and they don't provide degree shims or a center support bearing drop kits for the 1st gen Tacos. They only provide them with the 2nd Gen Tacos.

    Weird.

I got everything I needed, plus axle shims and CB drop and centering pin lengtheners from Headstrong and they were still $170 cheaper than Wheeler's was, and that includes CA sales tax.

Should come with the FK29 OME CB drop , not shims

Came with neither.. both were added onto my order as separate items.

Even with the added cost for those 3 things, it was a shit ton cheaper.

I needed neither for my first gen, and had no probs. 2nd gen issue. For 1st gen, you need exhaust relocate bracket (or chop your pipe) and an extended rear brake line.

He didn't know if it was included. I said mine wasn't.

    Deal with it.
