I built the following using the numbers in the pinned cost thread. If these are right, I will be ordering sooner rather than later. My dealer is usually only a couple of hundred over invoice on all Tacomas. So under 34,000ish for this listed below. Am I reading something wrong or is there some added option that I am forgetting?

    Invoice - MSRP
    7545 - TRD OFF ROAD DOUBLE CAB 4X4 V6 M/T 29738 32100
    FP - OR/Sport Premium & Tech Pkg (JBL/DC Only) 2701 3035
    D9 - Door Sill Protectors 59 79
RT - Mini Tie Down Loop 30 45
    TG - D-Rings 35 55
    TO - Towing Package 579 650
    4V6 - Quicksand 0 0
    015 - Gun Metal Grey 0 0
    DPH 900 900
    Total 34042 36864

Sorry, formatting is horrendous but you get the point.

No FP package with the 6MT, stuck with HH. Other then that your numbers look in the ballpark, subtract ~700 from the FP to get the HH price.

I think there is a typo for Invoice. Should be 29738 for a total Invoice of 34042. You would be wise to double check my math :)

the pricing is correct, it just depends on how the dealer is willing to haggle the price down from MSRP to Invoice. so sell at or just above invoice, some will only sell at MSRP since its such a hot item.

Thanks for the catch. Fixed it in the original post. Still not bad.

Really? I guess if that is right I will save $700.

My dealer is pretty good with no haggle pricing normally only a couple of hundred above invoice. Thanks.

So M/T does not get the option of JBL?

Sadly, no. Its almost as if Toyota dislikes those of us that prefer standards.

Okay then. Prices below now represent the HH package. Well under 34,000 if close to invoice on final dealer price. I like it!

    7545 - TRD OFF ROAD DOUBLE CAB 4X4 V6 M/T 29738 32100
    HH - OR/Sport Prem & Tech Pkg (non JBL/DC Only) 2074 2330
    D9 - Door Sill Protectors 59 79
RT - Mini Tie Down Loop 30 45
    TG - D-Rings 35 55
    TO - Towing Package 579 650
    4V6 - Quicksand 0 0
    015 - Gun Metal Grey 0 0
    DPH 900 900

I still feel like there is some option I am forgetting to add in here. What is 3p-Paint Protection Film?

A sub, however, is not enough for me to switch to an A/T. That $700 could put together a decent system if you want a bit more bass.

You definitely could purchase a better system but the oem look is what I'm after.

I would say go to the A/V forum and see what they have done. I'm sure there are very clean fitting aftermarket jobs, just going to be a bit of work...or a purchase of an A/T....(shudder). I'm just not into that stuff anymore since I mostly listen to podcasts.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a look.

One question, you live in LA right? How's driving a manual in LA traffic? I'm having second thoughts about purchasing an M/T but I live in Phoenix so our traffic isn't nearly as bad, however, I often drive long distances for work.

3p paint protection is just like a vinyl wrap they put on the painted metal surfaces. I have it on my 2014 4runner and it cut down on have a bug shield on it. I opted for it since the nearest decent wrap installer is like 550 miles away.

if your in a big city or near a big city, you could probably get a better deal or better quality stuff installed.

and to add, the oem wraps don't cover much, maybe a 1/4 or at most 1/8 of way from the leading edge.

I figure it will much easier to retrofit the JBL than to convert a slushbox to a manual :)

I've seen a fair amount of invoices that have invoice+destination+TDA. I'm still confused as to whether or not I need to add the TDA of $600-725 on top of the invoice+destination fee to estimate a quote?
