Has anyone used the program to get Costco pricing yet? last I read was that it would be available once the trucks hit the lots...

Please share details/experience if you went this route

Here is the response from the Costo Auto site when I searched for the '16:
    Locate a Dealer
The vehicle you selected does not currently feature prearranged pricing.

However, we are currently working with our local dealer to secure pricing for the 2016 Toyota Tacoma Dbl Cab 4x2 Short Bed. Prearranging low pricing for you is our top priority, and while it could be available soon, we cannot estimate exactly when.

If you are still interested in this vehicle or would like to view additional models from this manufacturer, visit our participating dealer for the Costco Auto Program experience. Our specially trained dealers are dedicated to providing superior service and consistent professionalism.

I was told that they would have pricing about a month after the trucks hit the dealers. Did Costco discount the 2015?

sounds like they still don't have the official pricing, I am guessing then we are still about a month out. @Aspie83 I don't believe they discounted the 2015 any further, but if it helps when I was looking at the 2015 (before I decided on the 2016) Costco pricing was $175 under invoice (which invoice included $332 TDA Fee)

My family has bought 5 Toyota's this way, and extended family have bought probably over 10 vehicles using Costco. It doesn't get any easier!

I have been in contact with Costco Auto for about 6 weeks now. 2 weeks ago they called me and said they have pricing on the new Gen3 2016 Tacoma. They said they have the negotiated pricing with the leaderships as well. From what he told me though is that the pricing is negotiated with each dealership so the pricing can vary.
but yes they have pricing for the new truck.

I just spoke to my Toyota/Costco dealer and he stated that they have not gotten the '16 Costo negotiated pricing as of yet. It sounds like each dealership negotiates pricing individually (as stated above). He did say not to expect too much of a discount ("think hundreds, no thousands" was his direct quote).

thanks for starting this discussion... I was not aware of Costco as an option, now very intrigued. anything to avoid dealership haggle is a big bonus.

Questions: how is financing handled? typically I would look to finance through Toyota, the dealer, or a bank...

Financing is no different. By being a member of costco, you can receive a discounted price on the vehicle if your dealer is part of this program.

Costco gives you the discounted pricing on the vehicle, which in my prior experiences, the dealers usually don't add a bunch of BS fees either (think 'Desert protective spray $399' etc..) which makes that part of it zero hassle.
The Financing is handled separately, but IMO you should get pre-approved for a loan through a bank/ credit union etc a few days prior to purchase so that you can see what they offer you then use that as a negotiation point to work financing through the dealer, usually they can match/beat it due to volume of business.
IMO you should always break down a vehicle purchase into 3 different parts and negotiate them all separately - New Vehicle purchase price/Trade-in/Finance. Costco takes care of the first part for you and you get a very fair price (the best pricing that i've seen usually).

One can never have too many light bars.
I know American Express has a similar program too. Only thing is that you have to make your down payment with an Amex card and some dealers wont take cc's because of the interchange fees. But if you can do it you will get a ton of points.
