As to them not turning off the seat belt alarm and door chime, it may still be possible that you can do it yourself. The dealer flat out refused to kill the constant reverse beep in my wife's 3rd gen Prius (that the manual clearly stated that the dealer could turn to a single beep) and doing it myself was pretty straight forward through OBD2 and Torque.

I have Engine Link, not Torque. I hate buying apps :)
I do have the wifi OBD2 link thing though.

Mike: I have an odd question /request. I see that you have latters in your garage, by any chance do you have a 6ft latter? I regularly carry 6ft latters to work and am concerned about the fit in a short bed. Do you think it could fit diagonally in the bed?

Why don't you put the tailgate up and prop it on top and put a ratchet strap over the front end? That's what I do for things that won't fit in the bed. They also sell bed extenders that hook onto a hitch. I have used those before as well.

    I have a 4 or 5 ft and a 12 ft. I doubt a 6' would fit.

I carry other equipment as well that I wouldn't want sliding out. (Shop vac, signs, etc)

I guess I can put it on top and use a strap. That's what we do with the much longer latters when we put it in the Titan bed.

Sorry, didn't explain well. Put one end of the ladder down in the bed right behind the cab and strap it there. Set the back end of the ladder on the tailgate closed. The ladder will stick out in the air but it won't go anywhere and neither will any of your stuff.

I'm looking to get the same thing in Quicksand. But the silver looks so good you almost have me second-guessing.

Big-time congrats. Thanks for the write-up and the videos. For those of resigned to waiting, it's the next best thing.

I never pay for apps either but torque was worth it. It's a blutooth link.

The only apps I have bought are torque, SwiftKey, and the old Tapatalk pro before they made one big free version

Sorry about the scratch but now its a real truck!

Going to have to say I am disappointed that they removed the tie down rail from the front of the bed this year. Whats up with that? I wonder if we can retro fit previous years rail in this one. Seems odd. i was going to use that for bike mounts for sure. Did they damage easily in previous models or something?

Torque was the only app with the ability to do what I needed at the time I did it, I don't know if that's still the case or not though.

Sorry for the stupid question, but are all these apps just OBDII apps?

Torque is an app for Android (maybe iOS as well, but I don't Apple so I wouldn't know) that communicates with a Bluetooth OBD2 reader (I use an OBDlink MX) and with it you can not only read data directly and clear codes but sometimes you can also access dealer settings on the car.At the time I modified the settings on my wife's car Torque was the only app that could do what I wanted to do, but that was also still pretty early in the days of OBD2 apps.
