    Good point.

Hopefully I can get my hands on the JBL subwoofer or one that fits in the backseat.

The TDA fee is usually not avoidable because competing dealers in the area all charge it.

So for a correct estimate it should be

    1) Truck-invoice price +
    2) Options-invoice price +
    3) Destination Fee ($900) +
    4) TDA ($600-725) +
    5) Doc Fee +
    6) Whatever deal you figured out over invoice w/ dealer ($750 average)
    Get a total
    7) Sales tax (multiply total by your sales tax rate)
    8) Add the sales tax to the total and then add you state licensing, title, registration, plate transfer fee

    Should have your OTD price?

^PDI may be extra as well, along with the tank of gas.

Gas is less than 20 bucks, what's PDI?

Edit: Dealer Prep Fee? If so, I won't pay for that. I'll tell them to take it off the truck and call me to pick it up.

All the little hidden dealer charges make me lose my mind. If they are going to screw us please at least lie about those fees and roll them into the invoice price. The way they do it would be like a Nevada Whore House telling you sex costs 1000 but there is a 50 charge because she showered that morning...Christ almighty just tell us what it costs.

And yes, we have whore houses here. Get over it.

If you are in Socal, this was what I was charged:

    Destination $900
    TDA $616
    Gas is $11.30
Title, Tax, and Licensing fees: pricing varies

    Hopes this helps

Or they could just keep the invoice price hidden like all the other retail industries... In the end you are comparison-shopping amongst 2-3 dealers and buying from the one with the best out-the-door price.

Just like anything else you get used to it. When friends get in the truck, its a short burst of "a stick...in LA traffic!!!". Additionally I kinda match my cadence to the traffic and end up modulating speed with the clutch and leave it in a gear, 174K miles on the original clutch. I am that guy that has a gap in front of him instead of racing to fill the open spot. I also drive surface streets to work, just as fast and I don't have to deal with the freeway mess.
