What you've heard is true, it's good kit. I had an Icon stage 5 kit here with the billet UCA's and an add-a-leaf ready to go but due to ridiculous scheduling and the wait for other long ago ordered parts - which still aren't here - I still hadn't gotten the parts under the truck. My "derp moment" was when I agreed to his plan of giving the works to him so he could start running it right away under his truck.

Now that I've gotten a chance to re-order I slowed down and took a closer look and opted to change it up a bit. Instead of the OME Dakars I opted for the All-Pro Expos since I am always carrying the FlipPac everywhere I go. Right now I'm running the TSB leafs and with the camper on and an empty bed I'm running right at pretty much no arch. Once gear goes into the back I get into the scary world of negative arch. I figured that with the Expos I could hump allot of kit with me regularly and not see that kind of damage so soon.

Trivia question for all. When I put the 35" tires on and go to re-gear using the auto transmission are 4:88 considered the sweet spot?

Found a shop called izzys custom cage over on Watson. Haven't swung by yet. They do roll cages and all sorts of stuff

Yup, 2.5" Fox coil overs up front and 2.0" Fox smoothies in the back. Tracking number says most of it will be here Thursday. Did you get a chance to read back in the thread a bit to see my answer to you about the camping stove and table? I listed all the parts and linked them to the US supplier but be forewarned, they are almost always out of stock due to very high demand so get your google game on when searching.

Arm is getting better but I'm still coming to terms with the fact that it will never be "normal" again.

Pro-tip: Getting old ain't for sissies.

Some of these guys are talking about a get together somewhere so if you have some ideas throw them up.

@Palehorse1 I did get the info about the grill table and have added to my infinite list of stuff I want. Haha.

I received a notification once you commented. Maybe I turned it off? Not sure since I'm the one that created the thread. Oh well.

I'm gearing up for bow season so camping might be out depending on the weekend. Might be able to come down and meet for the day or something.

Sadly I don't think I will be bow hunting this year. Friend offered me the use of a crossbow that he has but I haven't decided to accept it yet. My left arm stays completely numb most days and I don't think that and a tree stand make for a good combination. I'm pretty butthurt about that.

Good news is that @YotaDan from Wheeler's and UPS showed me some love today and delivered some of my parts a day earlier than planned.

in the 3.5" - 5" lift variation. have no idea if I will ever use them, the real "impulse" part of the purchase. (not seen in photo) in case I do something stupid. because I'm simply too damn lazy to source all the parts and make my own.

Arriving in the next package from them is a pair of and an adjusting wrench.

    Spooted:

Passed you last Thursday morning when you were heading west on Illinois Hwy 50 from Carlyle Lake. That is unless you called in and told your boss that you were sick and would be late and actually ran to the lake to do a little fishing, then I didn't see shit.

    Check, check... This thing on?

Just ordered a plate bumper and contemplating some spindle gussets and upgraded brake rotors. Why you ask?

    Because 35's

that I'm looking at but if you have any suggestions I'm all ears.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to order a set of the EBC slotted rotors and use their pads as well. Again, if you have suggestions I'm grateful when you share them.

    FYI

4.88s and 35s will be great. A tad over geared but for the weight you have and if you like offroading a lot it'll be the best option. 4.56s will be almost stock.

Gotta' get as many of my new parts as I can before the all the leaves fall off the money tree.

Right on, heard similar from someone else. At first I was going to look into 4.56 but then was told with the camper and all my other crap that 4.88 would be better suited.

On the gussets, I'm thinking that I might be better off in case I move to a state that requires factory sway bars to be in place for inspections. I've already purchased the required wheel spacers which the notes state are required.

@HIYota, @headhunter247, if you guys are interested I'm thinking of renting a lift at the base hobby shop to get the suspension in, you wanna come and help laugh at me? Anyone else for that matter?

Even when you add in the "old geezer" component to the equation?

Scott Air Force base auto hobby shop behind the exchange/commissary. If you don't have base access I can meet you at the gate and you can ride with me in.

Yeah, that place is pretty cool. lifts, heaps of oddball tools, and a couple of old guys to help automotive neophytes change oil and stuff. It's very cheap to rent the space + tools too.
