It's still a ripoff. Their doc fees are probably 20 dollars because you pay for the registration your self

Maybe so but I am more than happy with my deal and that's all that matters,
Their Doc Fees are $349. I always ask what doc fees are BEFORE negotiations begin. I hate surprises in F & I $500 over invoice on a special order 2016 Tacoma is not a rip off.

Registration is Paid as I am transferring plates and registration is not due until April 16. Just have to pay for title transfer $55 and $300 Sales Tax

I thought this forum was Tacoma World. Seriously, why so angry?

Anyways, I was quoted 500 over invoice and pretty happy with the dealer I'm working with.
A lot of dealers in Socal don't even have much 2016 inventory at all or the one or two truck they do have is not in the trim I even want.
So to be able to get exactly what I want with Costco pricing makes me walk away knowing I didn't get ripped off and peace of mind.
Try asking if they offer any military, new grad, or any other incentives.

Won't be that way for long. NDP spending sprees will equal a provincial sales tax.
I think both sides turned this into a shit show. It takes two to tango, or act like a couple of retards trying to hump a door knob, whatever floats your boat :).

Only problem is that my wifes full size in the driveway is pulling the same combined number the Tacoma is promising...

Not trying to start something but there just isn't that much difference between the full sized trucks and the mid sized trucks fuel economy wise, unless you buy a Tundra. Tundras tend not to get the great MPGs.

If you want a midsized truck you probably need the increased manoeuvrability or smaller size for offroading or mall crawling. Which is just fine.

Same reason I ordered a 4x2 TRD Sport Long Bed. Love the aesthetics of the truck more and I have no use for the Off Road 4x4. I live in SoCal and the most dirt the truck will see will be parking it in the dirt lot before unloading my mountain bike and hitting the trails here. Need the truck to haul the bikes around and for when I purchase my house to help with hauling new crap and remodeling.

It doesn't matter what truck you get, they are mechanically identical except for features . You buy what you want in style and features and like the color, you can't go wrong. All cars are a loss but the Tacoma is one of if not the best at holding it's value.

I remind myself too that everyone has to make a living and my intent is not to get the very lowest price, but to get a fair price. Becasue I have dealt with the dealer for such a long time and they appreciate my business, they tend to go down in price pretty easily for me.....if we can't agree, we always leave on good terms. The key is to be honest with them. If you aren't ready to buy, don't tell them you are. If you are ready to buy, walk in with check book in hand so they know they will get a cash deal immediacy if they meet your price. Everyone walks away happy if you are completely honest.

Keep in mind, going in with a cash price and no finance, they may not go as low as say with someone who is putting $5000 down and financing the rest.

In my experience working in the car business, go in and don't tell them you are going to buy the car outright. Go in and say you are going to put $5000-$10000 down and you are going to finance the rest. They will sometimes give you a better price since you are financing. After 1 month, go in and pay off the car.

Had this happen with 3 vehicles I helped friends purchase. Dealer gave them one price and then when they said they were just going to pay it all off right away they said they couldn't do that price anymore, only if they were going to finance. Happened at Honda, Dodge, and BMW. So they just put the money down and 1 month later called up and paid off the vehicle.
