    My left wrist kills me benching anything over 225 (broke it a few years ago, hasn't been the same since). I wasn't using wraps for a while, but decided to at least wrap my left one the last few times I've benched. Last week I was wanting to go heavy but I put 185 on to warm up and my left shoulder had a crazy pain all down the front. Backed off to 135 and it was still there, but not as severe. After 5 or so sets of 8-10 at 135 it went away. Guess I just needed to warm it up slowly. Decided to do 4x4 at 225-245, then did 5 singles at 275 and a single at 285. Slowly but surely, those gains I lost when I cut are coming back.

    just started running again after a couple years of weights only. I get a strange feeling in the muscles on my shin and I feel like I cant make my toes point up. Ive ran most of my life and never had this happen before.

    does anyone know what this is or have tips to prevent this?

    The strange feeling is you losing your gains by running. Best tip I can think of is to stop running.

    ha ha you guys are very funny, this is very different from shin splints. there is no pain from it. It feels like the muscle cant flex in any way.

    Yep. I think I'm just Gettin old and shit is starting to hurt. Takes a little longer to get the ole lube flowing to the joints I guess.

    What do you reccomend for warming up that and shoulders? My lest shoulder is always the one to give out and get sore while lifting, id attribute it to years of drilling it into the ground while snowboarding.

    So before any sort of push workout I do these

    Sometimes I'll throw in some lateral raises or bent over raises. I'll probably do something like 3 sets of 12ish for each. After that for my first exercise, I'll slowly ramp up the weight until I reach my "working sets". That usually get me going.
