If what I read is correct, you can't add intermittent wipers on the SR.

Which brings me to the question of how hard would it be to upgrade it?

2500 RPM at 70 MPH with a 6 speed auto? Maybe I'm confused.

    SR5 or higher..

Since the whole steering wheel assemly is the same from 2012-2016, you can buy the OEM intermittent wiper stalk from EBay and install on your own within an hour or so. There's a few tutorials on this site everything is plug and play.

With the 4.30 rear end and 6 speed auto the 4 cylinder runs 2500rpm at 70mph.

My 2011 Sr5 4x4 5 speed stick ran at 2500@75mph iirc, which is why I always thought that truck should have been a 6 speed manual. Gas mileage would have improved from running lower RPM's at highway speeds & in the city. I got 27 mpgs on a trip and averaged 24 doing 70% highway driving.

Tecnically, that's not far from. . .look I forgot what I was just talking about. I just wanted to say I agree and those Black Alloys are bad ass.

I'm not arguing, I'm only reporting what the tach was showing. I was on the highway for less than a mile and the truck was still cold. It could of been in 5th gear the whole time.

I don't know how they're getting better MPGs with a 6 speed auto running 2500 at 70. My 2013 2.7 auto with 4.10s revs lower at that speed, and my mileage is a lot worse at 2500 RPM than at 2000 RPM.

Just clarifying the numbers, nothing more. I'm surprised the RPMs are so high.

I bet the 4.30 is a nice little improvement in driveability.

I am legitimately interested in what kind of RPMs people are seeing at freeway speed, what kind of MPG the 6 speed is giving, and (now) what increase in performance the 4.30 provides.

Seems like it could all add up to what I wish my 2.7 was able to do. Would really suck for me if all the differences don't really yield improvement

BTW, if you want the dealer to add convenience package and black alloy wheels to the SR have the sales guy search for LL and AA under options in dealer daily.

AC I4 SR model code as follows

    2wd prerunner 6AT: 7162A FE LL AA
    4x4 6AT: 7514A FE LL AA

Those Black Alloys would look awesome on a new style PRO.

Looking at the spec sheets the SR comes with "Mist intermittent windshield wipers" while SR5-Limited comes with "Variable intermittent windshield wipers". I tried to do a search on the differences between the mist and variable and didn't find much. What exactly are the differences?
