I wish I could remember how I explained it to Tim because he understood why digging didn't work

No...it would've worked...you just didn't want to dig that much and have to re pile the mulch up

Luckily my coworker was close by to pull me out. I was on a pretty steep incline, and I had already taken the boat off and moved the trailer once, and in doing so filled the back of the boat up with water. I got it out of the water and pulled the plug, but this pond is nothing but soft clay so anywhere I went, as soon as I got the boat on, the trailer would sink to the axle. Here's my strap and why I didn't want to winch it back up anymore than I had to. Time for a new strap and several cold beers! Happy Friday gents :cheers:1442598484185-646573866.jpg

The wife and I dropped the kids off at school and took a hike today. It was a beautiful day for a walk. image.jpg
It was about 4 miles round trip, and we had to backtrack once.

    Long Creek Falls.

It is a small creek that dumps into the Chattooga River. These falls are about 100 yds from the river. It is 50 ft high. We have been there after a good rain before and it was amazing. Today wasn't bad but it hasn't rained in a while so there was not much water.

This was another cool little one. The reason we backtracked. The trail was so steep here, I had to push my dog up the trail because she couldn't walk it. You have to basically climb up on the rhododendrons and rocks. I didn't get many pics of that. That water was super cold.

I was going to ask where it is. We have been up in that area a lot exploring. I used to trout fish a lot on the Chauga but not since they cut the limit in half. We'll have to get up there and find this place. My wife loves to get out and hike, but we're kinda limited with a 4 year old. She likes to get out on trails, too, but we have to do ones she can handle.
