    Let's see... today... today... today...
    1. New Jensen stereo is sitting on my front porch awaiting installation when I get home.
    2. New LED bulbs for the dome and map lights are in the mail box - using a 10W 15Ohm ceramic resistor to make it all work. :)
    3. New quarter window latches are in the mail box.
    4. Ordered a triple drive belt kit.
    5. Ordered a new fuel filter.
    6. Ordered a set of WeatherTech floor mats.
    7. Ordered a set of spark plugs.
    8. Ordered an air filter.

Yesterday I installed a 4Runner map lights upgrade where there was no light at all on the mirror.

So I've been kinda cheating on the Tacoma a bit, looking on the Lexus forums and now I want to find a way to retrofit one of those mouse touch pad console things w/ a monitor.

I think BMW has a thing now were you can just wave your hand around in front of a camera or sensor or something and it can do a bunch of stuff like control volume, etc.

Installed the radio, quarter panel latches (of course I lost a bolt and had to scrounge one up out of my "Dad's Redneck Box 'O Junk" - rescued me yet again), and the LED lights. Interestingly enough, I guess the LEDs that I bought must have a resistor on the board, because I didn't need one at all. I do like that I was able to point the map lights away from my eyes. Seems Toyota didn't quite think that that one through completely. Let's put a light right in your face, yeah, sounds great!

The uneven pressure mentioned here sounds like the issue I had in terms of frozen calipers, happened to 2 seperate sets of parts house 199mm Tundra calipers, one set from Napa, another from Autozone, Autozone has lifetime warranty so I'm not getting screwed like I did with Napa's bullshit year warranty.

Sure the system is bled well? Rear brakes are good in terms of leaks, brake cylinders are good?

Sure you checked this, and it's unlikely you could get a loaded caliper over new rotors if a piston was seized, but it may be sticky and need to be rebuilt.

Also making sure to flush brake fluid every 30,000 miles to keep the moisture out of the system will keep the pistons from rusting/seizing

Check to be sure rear brakes are adjusted, just pulling the E brake is generally not enough to adjust them. Back up slowly and pull and release the brake lever a couple of times. You will probably feel a firmer pedal.

Installed an optima yellow top D35 yesterday. It's shorter than the normal battery and therefore will not bolt down properly. I used a block and some rubber padding to raise up the battery to allow for it to be bolted down properly. Does anyone know a way to mount one of these in a better way? The only solution I have found seems to be the beefed taco optima tray. http://stores.streetacos.com/battery-tray-optima-oem-location/

What do you guys think? I've heard beefed taco takes forever to build and get things out.

You can get the battery tie down hooks in different lengths at vatozone.

The last time I bought a 'one size fits all" Optima battery, it came with a "spacer" that I placed underneath it, for that reason. It still didn't fit right, and had to jury rig a way to properly fit the battery.

One more reason not to buy Optima brand, they don't make the usual "made to fit' sizes that more reputable companies, like Sears, do.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

My Duralast Platinum is the same way, it is a tad loose. Need to see if I can do something to snug it down some more.
