AVEC LED Lighting

Mike isn't coming back ever! The co any will disappear in no time and I'll be sticking with Rigid from now on.

 

You wasn't able to get it warrantied again ?

 

nope. they said I had to drive it down there again and they would look at it and see if its covered. It told them I would send pics but they said no. They also through in that the warranty states the rep that sold me the lights would have to take care of it. I told them Mike no longer works there. He saidme that Mike hasn't worked there in a long time and I may be out of warranty been though I've had them less then a year. it seems like that are doing anything not to cover it. I was also told by a couple guys that they sent in their lights, the warranty got denied and they never got their bars back..

 

So when did AVEC go south?
I picked up a set of Optic LED light bars from them last year and they were by far brighter than the cheapo Amazon ish I was replacing them with. Solid quality and great deal for the price. Whats with all this bashing? Their customer service was stellar, only complaint I had was their response time, but in todays world no one has patience anymore, despite the fact that we all know what its like to be busy

They no longer have a presence on TW but if t=you just call or email the guy he will more than likely take care of you

 

They went south when Mike left and honestly I'd rather pay more for a better brand since AVEC is most likely going to dissapear soon with their customer service

 

Yup. I got mine while the going was good, right at the beginning, because they were dirt cheap, with every intention of slowly replacing each light with a quality name brand down the road.

 

So I've had my Avec bar for about 8 months or so..I talked to mike about sending it back because some led's burnt out.so said no problem it's covered.never got around to taking it off and sending it..and now mike is gone.

So I got around to calling them and explaining the situation.simply told me to take pics and send them via email(I sent it to two emails.sales@avec & info@avec).Ok so I did on a Monday.come Tuesday I called back to see if they received my email containing the photos.I was told it roughly takes about 24 hrs and they would get back to me.Okay fine.Come Friday..still nothing.So I call back and ask if they received my email..I was told to send it to info@avec..I began to get frustrated when I was told this.I told the rep I was talking to that I've sent it to two of their emails already and I haven't heard from anyone.

Maybe he got the vibe of how I felt and then gave me a RMA number and their address and told me just to send the bar in and he would replace it with a brand new optic bar(I didn't have a optic.ig I had the cheap one) in either spot or flood which ever I preferred.

I was very surprised with their customer service.after following up with this thread.i was on the edge of giving up on avec.Well let's see what they send me back..if they even send me one..I will keep yall posted

 

Id be mildly surprised if you get an optic bar back, or anything back for that matter. Hope you shipped it with delivery confirmation

 

How could I tell if it's an optic or not?what do you mean by "with delivery confirmation"?

 

Optic lens looks way diff from regular crew the lens looks almost like fish eye kine . I got optic pods from Avec they are hella bright .

Das deals tho if u get a optic bar back cuz it costs way more and from what I read way more bright supposed to be. It's so concentrated the light from the optic

 

I know I looked at the prices online and theres a good price difference.Avec told me the optic is brighter then the version I have.

 

Optic lenses have little projector lenses at each LED vs. regular bars that have just clear glass with reflector bowls. Delivery Confirmation is what I think every postal place offers for a little bit extra, usually just giving you a receipt saying that someone at the address picked it up and it wasn't just left at a door. You can also do Signature required, so you KNOW AVEC got the package for sure.

 

Gotcha.well Ive never had a problem shipping stuff,and I didn't get a delivery confirmation.But I do know when it should arrive.ill be tracking it daily.

 

Yes but without delivery confirmation, they can just say it was left on the doorstep and then 'Was Stolen or something" and then you have to go after the postal company. Always go for delivery confirmation.

 

Now I know for future reference.hopefully everything goes as planned

 

Yeah my optic pods went bad so I threw them away and bought rigid hyperspots..... So much better......

 

How did they go bad?

 

Avec bars are complete garbage. Save some time and headaches and get Rigid. They will cost more but in the end, well worth it. I will be switching my roof LED bar and bumper LED bar to Rigid when spring comes. F**k Avec.
