hey guys any body have any advice on brand and kind of the side window visors and why? which are better and and any problems with either? thanks I looked at some avs slim ones that look good but noy sure if the slim ones will keep air noise out because they set at same distance out as stock windows do really? I think the wider ones that stick out further would do better? but what ones are better in channel ? do they always give trouble scratchuing or not letting window open giood"?

I've had the wades and AVS. Both in channel. The wades are crap. I'm happy with my AVS in channel. No probs. The key is (setting them) properly. Here are the AVS.

I just installed Weathertech dark in channel ones. Came out really nice and took about 20 minutes. They are low profile so don't stick out a lot.

I see some that are like 25-30 bucks online, are they made out of real thin crap or same stuff any idea? they don't have a brand? just wondered if anyone had tried them? or if they would even be worth it? thwey say they have 3m tape on them too so that would stick ok, I suppose?

I'll get back with you when I take it out on the highway about the noise and make sure there is no window scratching going on.

I got the stick ons cause I didn't want to risk distorting the weatherstrip or scratching the windows, had them on for 6yrs now with no problems.
And I'm a smoker so the window is always cracked, there's no wind noise until you get over 60mph even then it's not bad.

I have had no issues with them. I actually took them off and reinstalled. I just put new 3m tape on. The trick I used was to jam the cardboard it came with between window and deflector over night and let it set. I even have tint. They work great.

I have the Dark tint Weathertech window deflectors. I vouch they're worth the money, they are unlike any "rain guards" I've ever seen. IMO These are a big advantage on the truck, even if you have legal % tint they create a more shaded aspect within the cab. I have a DCSB, before installed with all 4 windows down at cruise speed the wind would whip through the cab. My girl likes to say it passed the "hair test" before with all windows down she had to put her hair up to keep it from flyin around in her face, now with all windows down she keeps her hair down. In other words, the wind transfering through the cab has decreased dramatically. A lot happier with the money spent than when initially spending it. Hope this helps

Looks like ive lost the sticky on my in channel visors... you figure some regular double sided tape will do the trick? or something a little thinner..

Look into Eco-fused® 2mm double sided adhesive tape. Its 2mm so its thinner than your everyday 3m tape, and its only bout 6 bucks a roll on Amazon

In-channel, Weathertechs are only designed in-channel I believe
