Do the 2010 models have the monitors in the spare? I saw that the 09's did not in another thread and was just wondering if the 10's didn't as well. Thanks!

My 09, built in July 09, does not. I verified that when I dropped the spare to check pressure.

I wonder if the 4-sensor trucks get different TPMS computers than 5-sensor trucks, or if the TPMS computer registers how ever many sensors you have at the time you initialize it.

Easy way to tell. Is the valve stem on the spare rubber or metal?

Seriously? 2008 had them on the spare, 2009 didn't, now 2010 does?

    Have you Actually looked?
I have and on my 2010 Pre-Runner TRD Sport there is a RUBBER valve stem not a TPMS.
The owners manual even refers to it as a temporary spare because of no TPMS. Maybe there is a difference between 4X4 DC and Pre-Runner Access -cab?

    shouldnt be a difference...

but like everyone else said above, they had them through the 08's and dont have them in the 09-10. i would verify that a truck had tires on it before i trusted the dealer .

I just checked and you are correct. I have the rubber one...but when I bought my truck, I got the low tire light come on and they said that it could have been the spare. That is what the salesman said. Thanks for confirming.

    My 4x4 has rubber stems...

they could keep heated mirrors too....i'd say old tundra style roll down rear glass....the sliding rear glass is retarded on a DCb/c u'd have to crawl into the back seat to open or clos it

    2 issues with this:

    1) Heat Mirrors in FL are useless...It NEVER gets that cold.
    2) TPMS is federally mandated i do believe. So beg Toyota as much as you'd like...You got TPMS.

Correct. As of 2007 all vehicles are required to have them.
