    ^^^ THIS!!!

Get cracking on the phone and email - call and ask for fleet or internet sales people, don't screw around with floor sales and sales managers.

Do the math, 3 or 4 hours on the phone divided by the cost saving is going to be the biggest $/hour you probably ever make!

Hey guys, I am from another thread, I got a good price I think! What do you think? Here is the email. I have already sent him that the orange trim dash does exist...

"I've attached a PDF of the standard equipment on the TRD Off Road Double cab for you. We've got a price based on what you told me you wanted. I'll summarize below:

    Model 7568 - Double Cab - 4x4 - V6 - TRD Off Road - Long Bed - Automatic Tran

    04X0 - Inferno Exterior

24 - Dark gray trim with the orange trim and stiching

FP - Premium and Technology Package w/ JBL Audio

    TO - V6 Tow Package

    CF - Carpet mats

I can't find mudguards or the trim and floor covers you're talking about on my Toyota accessories website or in any materials I've been given. I have carpet mats as a substitute with all weather mats as an option.

I'll do a price of $37,000 even on the Tacoma bringing the out the door to $39,707 with what I have equipped above. Let me know if that's acceptable and I'll have my manager order the Tacoma."

THIS IS TOYOTA OF KILLEEN BY THE WAY, GREAT GUYS :d

Wow out here in Hawaii, we're talking 40k atleast for all that because there is only one company allowed to sell Toyota out here, called Servco and they don't fricken budge on prices. They will straight up tell you to get lost at the dealership, that someone else will buy it at their asking price. Need to find a shipping company and start importing to Hawaii from Sunnydale Toyota!

I've had most dealers pushing MSRP. One dealer was being somewhat arrogant about it, "these are a new generation truck, everybody wants one, blah blah blah." Told that dealer that I already spoke to another dealer willing to do $1k over invoice and I'll just buy from them. All of the sudden things changed, "well, let me talk to my GM and see if we can manage $1k over invoice for you, but this will be a special deal for just you." Yeah, right. No thanks.

Oh, and I ended up finding a dealer that will do $750 over invoice. That is the best deal I've found so far.

People need to understand that since this is a brand new model of the tacoma, most dealers are not going to budge on going well below MSRP. They know someone who really wants the truck and is impatient will pay near MSRP for the vehicle. Also its only getting close to month end. Go in the last weekend of the month and you will be able to haggle a better deal. These people that go in the beginning of the month will not be able to get themselves the lowest price they could possibly get.

Sometimes the smaller dealers will let the vehicle go at invoice price before some of the big name stores because they are trying so hard to make their numbers. Hit up the smaller dealerships first.

When I bought my GFs Camry 2 years ago, we went to a smaller dealership, got a price of $1500 below invoice plus a $1000 rebate then went to one of the bigger dealerships, told them what the other one offered and if they beat it we would buy the car right then, they said no way we were getting a deal that good. Walked out, went back to the other dealership and bought the car. The next day the bigger dealership called us and said they could beat the price. We laughed over the phone and said we bought the vehicle the day before that we gave them the chance and hung up. This was 4 days before month end.

and anyone else that has problems with NY/NJ/CT dealers
we can all gang up and pick dealers....anyone else wants to get a Taco in NY let me know, will send mass email to reps and see who want to sell a few Tacos
might be a good incentive for NY NJ CT dealer to drop price below MSRP
