Noted for future reference. I tried using a ball joint press as seen in a write up, but quickly turned to the dead blow hammer and socket method when that wasn't working. It was a lot of work, but it's done and squeak free so I'm happy :)

    Thanks,

I tried the hammer method once and gave up qiuckly, lol. I use a 2 jaw puller and old socket to push it through and then use a 4 1/2" grinder and cut off wheel to cut the shaft and pull it out. The cap always seems to gouge trying to push it back out the other way so I just cut it.

Hammer on the pinch weld a little, cut some plastic. Don't have to do anything if it stays on the pavement

Where'd you get access to a shampoo machine, I was thinking about doing the same to my trucks carpet. It's either that or get a new eBay carpet.

Getting ground loop noise from new stereo (alternator whine), so i put in a new ground line. I made a Y at the head unit harness and ran an extra wire to the ground point for the amp. Shit be thumpin now. Also, what is the bulb size for the A/C switch (last pic)?

Wiring is one of my favorite pastimes, nice job! The bulb in the A/C switch and also the hazards switch is the 3mm option on this page if I remember correctly.

Thank you. I picked up a Portosol Superpro 125 soldering iron for this project, its made the process so much more efficient. Probably one of the better tool investments ive made.

I want to install a blue LED to match the blue LEDs on the HVAC display. I changed out the dome top LED's in the panel with these three LED lights:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/391219040085?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

The light spread is much better now.
