When were you ever not attacking me, if my memory serves me correctly? By all means, attack me, it's the internet and it's not like I've invested most of my life in this forum unlike some of you folks here.

Attack me all you want, does not bother me one bit. I just see injustice in anyone attacking the 3rd gen having never driven the damn thing for any extended period of time, and it can't defend itself against a bunch of internet warriors.

My remark wasn't personal to you so to speak. If it doesn't apply to you, then you have no reason to be upset. If you're upset, then you applied yourself to the remark. Like I said, you’re very welcome to attack me (on purpose or for fun), ignore me or debate against me in a respectful manner.

Having said that, I find it hard to respect those few who dislike the 3rd gen but felt the need to come to the 3rd gen threads to talk shit about the 3rd gen. I don't like the Prius but you don't see me going to a Prius forum to talk shit about the Prius, heck I wouldn't even do that here, because I respect people's choice of purchases using their own money.

To be fair, there were attacks from both sides in the past. I apologize for my behavior. Just so you know I really have no problem with you.

You have the right to dislike whatever you want.

I'm really just here to learn as much as possible about the 3rd gen before I make some sound decision next year. The last thing I wanna read is a bunch of bitching and whining. I deal with enough of that in real life, I don't need more of that crap here.

Im good don't feel attacked at all, but when you say statements about butt hurt 2nd gen owners your invoking attack, arguments, etc. Thats all. Ive seen it all here. There's some guys who wont admit that its an improvement, others that wont admit there's 2nd gen all throughout it, etc. And I don't bitch I point out things that others fail to or disregard. I also talk about what I like about the 3rd Gen, I actually got to see it in person and sorta poke around a bit. And agree to each their own. I have had 4 tacomas (all minus of course the 3rd gen) and loved every one of them. Regardless it will be a good truck. Just not for me and that's ok, just like 2nd gens aren't for some guys.

That's cool man, too bad some of your posts in some other 3rd gen threads don't come off as such, but sounded kind of elitist/snobbish that the new gen can't equal or outdo the 2nd gen's legacy. But either way, you have the right to like/dislike whatever, and I ain't judging you.

For the record I didn't say 2nd gen butthurt owners, I only said non-3rd gen, meaning it doesn't have to be 2nd gen owner, or even a Tacoma owner at all. And also, I like all 3 gens of Tacoma, including the grill that most think is ugly.

Maybe I should photoshop a Ford emblem onto the 3rd gen's front, then immediately people will probably accept it because it looks more like the current Ford grill as opposed to a Toyota grill.

Hardly eliteish and not sure where you would infer that from my posts, but that's the problem with forums, people read things however they chooose, if any gen deserves the legacy crown its the 1st gens.

^^^ Whatever that video is in your signature cracks me up every time I see it! Unfortunately, that was the way I felt when I seen the 3rd gen the first time. Now, after it's grown on me, I love the look... even the grill! I guess it's like chicks who think Steven Tyler of Aerosmith is so hot. He's the ugliest guy I've ever seen! But I guess he sets the standard because of who he is and what he does. That's like the new Tacoma. It's gonna set the standard to what looks good because of what everyone knows it is... the best!

My extended family is has been making Marines for 3 generations now but I don't think I've known one who was a Topgun. Wow! Thank you for you service to our country Mr Sam B!

Also, not that my opinion matters but I like the new Tacoma!

Thanks 2014sport! The highlight was getting to fly backseat in the black F-18. Got some stick time too. After flying the downwind leg into Miramar and doing a 5.5g break, everything else is just relative!

I mostly like the 3rd gen looks, maybe not in some pictures, but overall it's okay.

But I admit, it's hard to resist the thought it looks like the deal GM was pulling in the 1990s, by refreshing retired Opel models into Daewoo models. Sorta the same stylistic language...

With the exception of the interior, either model could superceded each other ,JMHO.

I owned a 2003 double cab, now own a 2012 double cab, and will soon trade for a 2016 double cab due to color change, like the beefier look, and the interior, if you don't like the 3rd gen then don't buy, there are plenty of buyers

My wife says Tacoma's are girly trucks!!! Does anyone else feel this way? I don't think so but we were driving around town one day and she did point out about 10 Tacoma's with women drivers.
