Held in place by some simple plastic clips on the back side.

Do you just pull them out from the front? or do I need to unclip from the backside?

Easier just to pull out the Fog Light housings. Clips break very easy, and I have taken mine out 3 times in the past week

It flew somewhere, after an hour of searching, I went to dealer to buy a new one. Parts guy didn't know what it was. I thought that was weird.

Dry. Work from center out. Few creases at edges but they came out just by rubbing. Lamen x is pretty flexible. If you have to reposition it, don't touch backside with fingers or it will leave fingerprints. Remove your fog light bezels, it's much easier. You don't have to cut off the lamen x tabs. I didn't. It's pretty easy install
    Good luck
Ps. Be careful when removing the blue clip on the back side of bezel. I lost one somewhere. No worries though as they only cost 1.92 ea at the dealership

I did the Amber from LaminX and the light output was not as bright as the Yellow film covering. And the LaminX film doesn't last as long. My Hella 500's and fogs are always on. The Amber started to bubble and peel 2 days after it went on. The Hella 500's and fog lights have been covered in the Yellow film since last November and look like I just did them. This is what I use to do all my lights.

Ya I noticed the Lamin-X doesn't seem to work well on round surfaces even as plyable as it is. I installed them with the fog lights on to give them some heat so I could mold them better. Worked for a bit but there were a couple areas around the edges that are being stubborn. Will have to try the product you suggested if it continues to bubble.

The stuff I used went on easy let it cure for 2 days then put them in. Not a wrinkle or a bubble
