Drove my truck yesterday for the first time since the incident like 6 weeks ago, it felt like the first time all over again. It finally motivated me to fix it so tear down starts tomorrow. The 37mpg my civic gets is awesome but damn I miss driving the taco

 

I feel that way every time I don't drive my truck for more then a week or so. My frs is a blast to drive and I drive it like it was meant to be driven but 95% of the time I would rather drive my big slow truck

 

I feel unsafe as hell in my little car lol also been a long time since I've drove something so low to the ground. The fuel mileage is crazy though and I don't baby it at all.

 

Whenever I go home for the weekend I drive my mom's '11 accord just so I don't have to put more miles on my truck, and I love the gas mileage and I definitely don't baby it but after driving my truck for so long, I feel like I'm gonna get ran over and at the end of the day would much rather drive my slow ass truck.But its about time you get to fixing that thing, are you not going through insurance?

 

@allmotorrex for real are you available this next weekend to work on some suspension?

 

I did they already paid out just haven't gotten around to doing it. I'm gonna do all the work then just take it somewhere and have it painted. But I was hit last year in the other side on the front and never fixed it so I'm gonna have to come out of pocket some and fix both sides now. I'm almost tempted to paint the whole damn truck since at the least both doors and forward have to be done

Got a comp drift event at the motorsports park. It's over at 4 and I would tell you I would help after that but I have found very little motivation to do anything but sit on a couch inside after these all day in the sun events.

What are you planning on doing?

Sunday could work. If I have my rear shocks in by then. I just need to swap in my 5100s with 884s (preassembled), AAL, and rear shocks.

 

Hahaha yeah I know. And that's a 2 hr job 1 person so shouldn't take long

 

So my Satoshi cracked apart again, like the outer shell came off and I've tried melting the tabs back together and Jb welding the fucker together and neither have worked. Right now its taped on there, but what do y'all suggest to do?

 

Sweet. Now I wait... Wheelers hasn't sent me a tracking number yet but I ordered saturday and I assume they're out today so we shall see.

 

Damn. So new fenders, bumper, I'm gonna assume atleast 1 headlight. and then they'll have to blend it through the doors? or are your doors messed up too?

 

you know I'm free this weekend right? Long weekend too since I worked yesterday. We can do it at the shop.

That sounds good. Can you do alignments there?

 

You will also need an alignment after you switch out your coil overs

 

yep, did all 6 of mine there... so now I'm a pro at tacoma alignments

All I got from craig was the mesh, I built it. And Idk, i guess when I tried to put the outer shell and inner back together I didn't melt them together well enough or something.
