Started my Satoshi grill today. Hit a couple snags because I didn't have everything I needed. I finally have everything I need but it has turned into a two day adventure. So far everything has been going very good though. I am also doing the BHLM while I have am doing this. Just figured I would knock them both out.

Did the horn relocation while I had the grill and headlights out.

Tomorrow starts the sanding, doing some bondo, more sanding, and some paint.....

Looks good so far... but I would move your horns back upto the front of your bumper somewhere. Where you have it will take alot off the volume of them...

I never use them. I don't think it will be a problem for me. I might eventually put them back up front but for now that is where I will keep them.

FWIW, have you considered mounting the horns at the front?

There is a crossmember near the lower part of the radiator you can mount them to.

In this pic, you can kinda see the horns behind the lower grill:

I was thinking about doing that but I couldn't find anywhere to put them. I will have to look today but it is really cold out and I have no room for my truck in the garage. Do you need different bolts than the original ones?

You might. I bought a couple longer bolts from a local hardwear store, with nuts and a few washers. Kind of a pain to mount there, due to space restrictions, but I thik having them out front keeps the sound going out that way. I was afraid that mounting them under the hood may mute them a bit.

Got some more work done on the grill but it is still not finished. I still need to finish the painting and then install the mesh. It would be nice if it was not so cold here. I could get a lot more done. I also distracted myself by doing the BHLM

Thanks man! My sanding and bondo skills are not very good but you can only really notice if you get up close.

Did you choose not to bondo the tab in the middle of the top of grille?

Yes I did. Looking at it now I think I probably should have but oh well. For my first grille I would say it is not the best. This was my first time using fiberglass and bondo. I will probably end up doing another one but I think this one is good enough for now.

Finished the grille and installed it today. I think it looks pretty good with the BHLM. Not my best work but you can't really tell unless you get close.

Just checking the fit. Mesh not installed.
