Good catch. Mine was not bolted down, I just removed the filler cap and pulled the shroud off and reinstalled the filler cap.

Maybe it's for safety given you can no longer see his brake lights after 27 coats of night shade. :notsure:

For mounting, don't bother with Zip ties on the main part by the frame. Get some 6-7'' hose clamps.

Could you post a pic of the roof under the headliner if you haven't put it back yet?

I've been thinking about designing a custom roof rack and I'm wondering where the structural ribs are located.

Six bolts, four screws around the gas cap, removing the tail lights, and un-clipping part of the the wiring harness from the frame. Mine had some kind of factory/dealer towing package wiring so it took a bit longer.

After selling my old tires I'm thinking about getting another less aggressive more comfortable/road friendly set to mount on my stock wheels, this got me wondering what size tires originally came on the truck. Is there an easy way to tell the Oem tire size?

Should be posted in the door jamb.
    What size factory wheels?
If 16's it probably had 265/70

Can i ask, are you a smoker? I noticed my headliner lightened up significantly when i had it cleaned. I contribute it to smoking while driving.

    Hello,

Not a smoker. I purchased this truck 4 days ago.
Seemed like the truck was ridden hard and put away muddy by the previous owner.

I don't think this is a good method to determine this. My door jam sticker says my truck came with 225/75r15s too and it is definitely not true. From the factory, with the e-locker it came with 4.10s and 265/70r16s, 31" tire.

A better method to determine what your truck came with is the stock gear ratio.
