Staining is getting old fast. It's hot out there!!

Also going to dig out the gravel in the driveway that is covered in oil from the old Civic. No more ugly oil stain, no more dancing around an oily area to get to the Taco, and will be easier to identify any potential future leaks! :D

Yes, it's an exciting life over here

At least there will be drinking & good food later. I'm thinking a lemon drop would go nicely with the fish & fruit salsa :proposetoast: :hungry:

My neighbor lent me one of those kinds of things once, and I didn't even use it. It seemed like too much of a PITA to clean, and I think you had to dilute your stain in order for it to not clog, it just sounded like more work than it was worth.

Besides, the worst is behind me now - plus it's almost time to  and :hungry: which is always :D

I think that I can see the light at the e end or the tunnel. This summer has been a bitch for home remodeling. I've got a handle on the house, now it's time to go fishing. Still got some detail work to get done, but that work is small potatoes compared to what I've already got out of th way.

The tiki hut still needs to get moved to it's final resting place, but this is give s you an idea.

Very happy to have a neighbor that enjoys crabbing on the Oregon coast, and who feels a little bit of "I owe ya one" for all of our efforts on our shared fence line.

Buttery sourdough bread, crisp green salad with bleu cheese, crab with garlic butter, fried calamari, and Oregon pinot gris. :hungry::cheers:

And the topper will have a nicer place to live now too, with these super tall sawhorses. Garage is still in the works, but a few improvements in the meantime while the planning continues....

Crabs are distantly related to spiders you know.

Around here, that would be $60 in crabs. Nice.

No spa going on the deck, we used to have one at the vacation house, but hardly used it. We just go for walks now to relax.

They were a hell of a lotta work to shell though!! Eric basically plowed through the calamari and other goodies, while I worked hard at getting those little tiny fragments of deliciousness out of the shells, taking breaks only to sip my wine. :D So, the end result was an overly full husband passing out, a slightly drunk me, and a big bowl of crab, ready to eat some other time!!

I'm glad you aren't getting a hot tub. I'd have to :smack: you out of sheer jealousy if you were. :D That's been high on our list of "totally unnecessary but geeze do I want it anyway" for many years. But I've heard they make your electric bill skyrocket, then you get to where you don't appreciate the thing after a while because you have to deal with maintenance on it, etc. At least when we go on trips, we try to stay at hotels/houses that have them, then it's more of a treat than if you just always had one anyway.

Just got back from Honda. They did the fluids (they look great now! :D), verified that TB & alignment were fine, and discovered we had a bad sensor for one of the tires, which is why we kept getting that TPMS code. So, they replaced the sensor - on their dime!! I guess as a good will gesture after the other crap? Anyway, I am beyond pleased and impressed at how they turned a potential negative situation into such a positive, happy ending. Hurray!!! They even made us an extra key, and did it all with a sincere smile. :D We are definitely happy customers in the end. :D

Time to work on gate hardware, yay!! :) Another beautiful sunny day, with lots of Waylon blasting, outdoor projects, Dolly roasting herself in the sunshine on the deck, and frozen strawberry drinks!!

    Happy Sunday TW!!!!

Oh yeah, one more thing - Eric thinks he saw a small leak from the rear axle. He started reading about it, and so far he doesn't think it's cause for immediate concern because the fluid level was fine. But I think he's planning to do more research on it, and also look into the rack & pinion stuff again, because that "wet spot" on the bellow boot has now turned into a small, slow drip he said. And replacing LBJs are on the list too - even though they seemed fine when he checked them, at their mileage and now understanding more about them, it seems like a smart thing to do when time/money allow. Trying to stay ahead of stuff as best as we can, and break the repair time/money into small, manageable chunks. Any and all advice on all those goodies is appreciated TW!! :D I remember DP did a nice thread on R & P.......might take a closer look at that soon.....
