That'll do it. When I was debating on adding the JBL to the prem/tech package he said
we can do it but it will push both build and delivery date back quite a bit.

My guess is that both issues are valid. They don't want to start delivering trucks only to get egg (foo young) on their faces....

Yes, the failed real estate broker trying to get a lawsuit out of Toyota. I think he was charged with fraud

TDI values just fell through the floor. This will be a mess for buyers as they have all been recalled......Some owners do not want the reflash which will kill MPG. That may work here where there aren't any inspections or emissions testing but will not pass muster in California

I can't wait to hear @BlueT explain away why VW did the right thing by circumventing emissions with programming for the test to get those MPG's.

Oh wait, I have him on ignore, so everyone else can enjoy that rant.

That's terrible news. I placed my order August 27 and have yet to get a build date. I didn't have a cover on my order but it's still taking forever. DCLB TRD Off-road tech/premium non jbl.

One can never have too many light bars.

Which would conflict with other info suggesting this was a Baja only issue since, I think, all LB come from TX.

I'm still waiting to hear the Diesel crowd, who kept goading up the Audi and VW Diesels as shining examples of how Diesels should be made :p.

Anyways, it does give perspective on how crooked the industry can be. VW has been ahead on Diesels for a long time and now we know it's because they weren't playing by the same rule book. At least Toyota is doing a recall, regardless of what anyone else is doing it's a good thing for the consumer.

Long beds aren't on hold, they are just affecting build dates because DCLB is different. Only DCSB frames go to Baja, but SATX has to get all three. A DCSB is easier to come by.

The long bed is not the stop sell that is just a delay to parts. the stop sell out of Baja is due to a manufacture problem (potential recall) not a supply problem.

Like previously mentioned. $18B fine. Which comes out to $35k per car...

Obviously it will be appealed and debated but the government is going to fight for their pockets to be filled.

And other automakers are going to encourage a high fine for defamation and embarrassment. But on the social media side, they will send their condolences and wish them luck selling more cars.
