2015 NCAA Football Thread

Quite a streak. This week is also the first time since 2010 that Alabama has been outside of the AP Top 10.

 

I was hoping for the same thing. Tickets are still $280+. I am going to have to leave Chatt around 3-4 in the morning to get down to Athens.

 

I have a damn wedding to go to that day. At 5. Hence why I was hoping for an 8 pm kickoff.

On a positive note, I have WAtchESPN and the CBS app, so I can watch while I'm at the wedding, and there will be free booze at the reception, so if we're Gettin spanked I can drown the pain fo freeeee.

 

Gameday coming to Tucson! It's time for Herbstreit to start respecting U of A...

 

And if we're not getting whooped you may be yelling out loud during the wedding, "he's gonna score! He's gonna score!"

 

Please tell me why gameday is in fucking Tucson this week. UCLA isn't even that good and Arizona hasn't played anybody to justify their ranking.

 

ND may not have any players not injured by then. If their players stayed healthy they might be a legit top 5 team.

You're talking like its the 8th week of the season...The entire SEC doesnt play anyone in the first three weeks to justify their rankings. AZ finished in the top 20 last year and have rolled over non-conference opponents to justify their preseason ranking as much as they could. And I completely agree...UCLA isn't that good. Their freshman QB had one decent game in week 1 and that's it.

 

Yeah I just looked at the schedule and ucla at uofa is only one of two ranked teams playing against each other so it makes sense. I'm a sun devil so i just have alot of angst about our team thus far. If we beat TAMU week 1 there's a good chance gameday would have been at Tempe against SC.

 

You going? Ill be there. I think the SEC fan boys are getting a little upset that the PAC12 is starting to gain some national attention outside of USC and Oregon. Arizona last year, nearly put the playoff committee in a tight stop had Arizona beat Oregon in the PAC12 championship game. With an Oregon and OSU loss that final week, Arizona would have vaulted over OSU and Oregon, likely would have stolen that #4 seed and you would seen Baylor or TCU grab the 3rd seed followed by FSU #2 and Bama #1. Would Arizona have competed well against either of those teams? No, but it would have been a justified seeding.

 

ASU was looking good last year too and was getting some national attention. But like they have every other year we win the big games and got smacked by Oregon State at home. The PAC 12 is pretty deep especially the south.

 

Not sure about this one, but possibly. The USC loss last week sparked this UCLA vs UA gameday event. Winner of this game will be the front runner for the PAC12 South and will be a huge momentum swing in the PAC12 south.

 

If USC had taken care of business against Stanford, I think they'd be going to Tempe regardless of that A&M game. USC is going to be PISSED too...nothing like a little locker room brawl to get the blood flowing.

I'll be there too! I'm right with you man, no one knows jack about the Pac12 besides what Oregon does and what USC did in the Cheat Carrol days. I would have LOVED to put the selection committee in a tough spot like that last year. But they got it right with the final 4 last year. Stanford is turning into our northern ally! They beat UCLA to have the ASU UA game serve as the South championship last year. Yeah Cardinal woooo

 

The national media loves and overhypes USC almost as much as they love and overhype ND.

 

SEC fan boys, need not worry. You'll get your college gameday experience back later in the season as SEC play heats up. Those brand new frat polo t-shirts, boat shorts, boat shoes, and sunglasses with the little string catch thing wont go to waste this year not getting an opportunity to be on ESPN gameday.

 

Depending on UA's game this week and how the rest of the PAC12 south plays out. The south could come down to ASU and UA again but in Tempe this year. Gameday could be coming back to AZ again.

 

I hope you're right. ASU has a tough two weeks ahead but if we got past usc and ucla the territorial cup will be a hell of a game. Our offense has been shaky at best this year so if we ended up 1-1 I wouldn't complain. Utah is a wildcard too.

 

Ole Miss has a cupcake schedule until they host LSU in November. If LSU gets past Bama then gameday will no doubt be in Oxford for 11/21 no matter how any other conference plays out.
