Trucks are on hold per Toyota

Got any scoop for SLC, UT?

 

In my case, i got to choose what truck i wanted from the allocation list. On that list was a dcsb trd or, and i added several options like the mud flaps, bed extender, tube steps, exhaust tip, and trd filter. My build date was scheduled for 9/18. I just sent a text to my brother in law who happens to be the sales manager to find out if it's still on schedule.

A pool unit is a vehicle that is scheduled to be built or has been built and is sitting at the Toyota storage lot/plant waiting to be assigned to a dealer.

An allocation is a unit a dealer is able to order ASAP or to replace one of their current orders.

 

Same as the picture you quoted for your area.

 

So.... does this mean that the new 2016's are lemons? Interested to know what's up....

 

So I didn't know whether to believe this or not after reading through this entire thread. While reading it I just sent an email to my car broker who is getting me the vehicle through Groove Toyota here in Denver. In early August I booked one of the allocated ones. It's DCSB TRD OR, with Prem/Tech and JBL, plus floor mats. It had a "build date" of 9/8. I just received this email back. Again, this is the quote from Groove Toyota:

"RIGHT NOW IT SHOWS AS BUILT BUT THERE IS A STOP SELL ORDER ON TACOMAS. THERE IS NOT AN ETA DATE ON IT RIGHT NOW SO WE ARE IN THE DARK AT THE MOMENT."​

What the bloody hell is going on? I sorta thought this whole thread was a joke until I got that email. UGH.

 

Got the text this morning, mine got bumped up a week.

 

Just did the back and forth with my dealer here in Denver. Mine is still showing her a build date of Thursday this week ... supposedly out of TX ... DCLB OR Prem/Tech + JBL ... I'll believe it when she sends me a screen shot on Friday showing that it was built.

 

Bumped up or bumped back?

 

My TRD sport 4x4 DCSB was built in Texas according to the sticker. It has the tech but no sunroof or heated seats.

My brother in law just sent me a picture of his computer screen that shows my build date was bumped from 9/18 to 9/26.. and the vin starts with a 3TM (is that texas or baja?)

 

3 is Baja.

Thanks, and i was just curious as it doesnt really make a difference to me.. he also just said its scheduled to arrive on Oct 12th... i hope that date stands as im like a kid waiting for christmas.
