Wondering about East Coast deliverys

The trucks are just rolling out now and no one has enough miles on theirs to get any good mpg feedback yet. The engines are not even broken in yet and everyones looking for 18-20 mpg reports.

My full size 5.0 F150 was only getting mid 14's at first now I'm averaging 18.5 with just under 20,000 on it. Give them time to break in.

 

One of the local salespeople (part of the SE Toyota folks) told me half of their sales force is going to see them "come off the boat" one day this week, while the other half goes the next day. I'm assuming this is in/around the Jax, FL area. So we should be seeing them real soon down south. Damn Left Coasters always get everything first.

 

I was told by the dealer in Ft. Walton that they will have one on their lot tomorrow. If I remember correctly she said it was an access cab. I asked her to text me pictures as soon as she can. And as soon as I get them, I will post them.

 

I ordered my 2016 last Friday here in eastern Pa and the dealer still had 20 2015 tacos on there lot still, So I'm sure they are trying to burn through those first.

 

Dealers in Charlotte NC aren't expecting any until first week of October... at the earliest.

 

Do you know what dealer? I'm in NY and looking...

I reached out and the dealer said they are in transit, which is not what the site said. Next week and I already said which dealer in a previous post.

 

If they are manufactured in Texas and Mexico, why would they be on a boat?

 

I don't think he meant boat literally.. Probably a train to the port where they will add the monroney sticker and options like $300 mats and ToyotaCare neither of which I ordered. The dealer said my truck would come without any Port addons except for Towing. I will buy some after market options at the dealer level. Like Tint.

 

If you don't see them with your own eyes don't believe them. Most dealerships have them on their website...this is bs. I've spoken to dealerships who told me they had them... This is bs. I've driven there and magically they aren't there. I've had another dealership tell me they were getting a load on Sept 15... More bs!

Until I see a picture of one in the northeast or see one myself I'm going with close to November until we start seeing them for real. No matter what the dealerships say.

 

Think I am waiting for December or January. If I can hold out......... I Should stay off this site till then.

I see two without VINs "in their inventory" and a discount of $2000 on them. I certainly would fly up there to buy a Tacoma for that discount.

I saw that discount earlier today and thought that was probably a misprint

 

But have you seen them?

 

I'm in Missouri and have called every dealer in the state, literally. They all said they think they will get some in this week. Arkansas has a couple. I'm going to North Little Rock Friday to look at one. If its still there.

 

Don't bother, they don't actually have them either, although supposedly they are coming "soon". I have a deposit on one from Checkered Flag in Virginia Beach, should have been built on 9/17, waiting for an update.
