Don't know where you're located but I am sure someone local can help install or at least give a hand installing the coils on the 5100s. I wouldn't pay the $100+ to have any vendor assemble things for me. It's a 20 minute job with a spring compressor, far less than that with a legit spring compressor, or you can use the floor jack method to install. Up to you though!

My buddy doesn't need his shell for his '85 runner since he rolled it so he is selling it for $150. He has the rear window for it too. And it was not on the runner when he flopped. Anyone interested or know of someone?

I am pretty sure at this height you are going to need upper control arms to bring your caster even close to being in spec.

Welcome, I too am from Benicia(now living on the Peninsula though) and I also rock a 2015 White Tacoma. This is a good place to start meeting like minded enthusiastic owners. Unfortunately for you, the moment you start participating in this community you will be infected with an uncureable disease we like to call moditus. Moditus has no cure and is sure to empty your wallet on a regular occasion. Hell, one of the best fab guys around owns a shop out in the industrial park (BAMF, look em up).

Are you guys just talking shit, because if you are I like it! Is everyone out there with a decent lift rocking upper control arms? I thought the tire size would be OK without much more modification than a lift. Maybe I should just go with some front coilovers?

No shit talking. I am running 2" up front and I got good numbers. @DCSBFTMFW Is about 2.5 and has crap numbers. I know a lot of people run 3" and get away with it but the drive quality is sketchy at best. Going with true coilovers won'take any difference it's the height and caster angle that is the problem.

You can run 265/75R16 with no lift. If you don't want to do the upper arms right away, keep the lift small. Coil overs that are adjustable on the truck make future changes easy.

Well then thank you kind sir!

I'll start looking at them tomorrow. Which ones do you run? And are you pleased with them?

I appreciate the input, I wouldn't go this alone!!

I don't have upper control arms yet. Where I am at now I don't need them as I have good caster numbers. I don't remember exactly what they are but I am somewhere around 2*'s.

Serious. Bentrodder drove my truck. It isn't terrible to drive but he certainly likes driving his truck better.

If you're ever around my area you're welcome to drive it and see what 2.5" and stock UCAs is like.

It's not bad. It just isn't good.

I'll definitely take that into consideration. Thank you both.

I'll start looking at what options I have.
