    I just got back from Mammoth last night, turned out to be a great wheeling/fishing trip. Found trails all over the place up there, even managed to get myself stuck for a little bit :censored::ballchain:

    I agree, it's going to be cold when he goes. It was 34 degrees when I woke up on Saturday morning. I'm sure it gone down to 31 degrees Friday night

    It was pretty slow, the water is extremely low up there. I didn't bother trying to fish the basin lakes because of the algae but supposedly the lakes were fishing well. I stuck to fly fishing the upper Owens, only caught two on Saturday in the catch and release section and then found out that the section below Browns camp was fishing extremely well so I hit that on my way home yesterday morning for a few hours and ended catching 7 and missed well over a dozen before I decided it was time to head home. Hot creek was doing extremely well but you had to really work for fish there

    Here's a few pictures of the smaller guys I caught, I enjoy catching these guys on extremely lite gear more then the bigger fish and plus the bigger fish still haven't come up from lake Crowley yet because of how shallow the Owens is. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

    Yeah they actually fight pretty good, the smaller fish are actually more aggressive then the bigger guys. I was fishing with lite gear so they felt huge lol
