You really wonder why you see so many trd off roads? I think it's because a lot of people want the seats and other upgrades that come with the trd package, and would rather have a locker, atrac, better braking, and/or plain hood over what the sport offers in apperance upgrades.

I've gotten a 4x4 S-10 stuck in a ditch years ago, in the winter with not all that much icy snow down, and had to get pulled out, it really sucked. I have no idea if a locker or A-Trac might have made the difference in getting me unstuck, but it certainly couldn't have hurt. I think alot of people like them for the piece of mind in situations just like this as well. You get two extra options above 4x4 to try and get yourself unstuck in an emergency situation that will hopefully never occur or be needed. Some people just like piece of mind and will pay a little extra for it, others don't mind walking into where their truck can't make it.

Your truck looks so nice, those wheels really add to the looks and the color is amazing. Are you going to level out your front end or leave it as is..??

Well cornfield boy, if you don't like TRD Off Road's, no one is forcing you to buy one, or even suggesting you buy one. Some of us actually see the purpose in owning one. We do things that benefit by having one, and see beyond just a passing glance at one or two of the features of an OR. I've owned Jeeps. Not that impressed with the quality OR their ability straight off the show room floor. I can take the same amount of money it takes to build a Jeep into something worthwhile and put it into a TRD Off Road Tacoma and have EXACTLY what I want rather than driving around in a tent. As far as the TRD Sports, if a hood scoop and a painted bumper will get you through anything a locker and more capable brakes, jump on it. You have a right to your opinions, and I would agree with you, but then we'd BOTH be wrong.

It looks like it has a slight rake (~1"), which to me is perfect for these trucks.

I guess that lip is there so if u hit something (animal, human) it'll fly over you? Kinda pointless on a lifted truck though.

Not going to lie...that RCI skid plate is sick!

The lift helps a bunch, I honestly don't mind the front-end now...prolly one of the few that like that cheesegrater grill too.

Give it a year and people will be talking about how GOOD the front of the GenIII trucks look. It's growing on me WAY faster than I ever thought it would. Seems to be relative to how badass the rest of the truck looks.

X2. I think it would look even better if the grille was black though.

Yes I do wonder and wish I was a farmboy. My last truck is locked in at 65 dollar yearly registration fee. Now it is 5%. 65 dollars still for farmers regardless of make or model

I wouldn't mind having a locker, but never being stuck in 2wd, just seems like overkill. Why am I switching to 4wd? 2wd is slooooow in the ice and snow
