Hi, Ron in DFW Texas here. Long time Ford guy and I just placed an order today for a 2016 TRD Sport, V6, 4x4 Access Cab in Magnetic Grey. I opted for the Premium & Technology package, Tow package and black step bar. I hope to have the truck in early November.

I like almost everything about the new Tacoma. It is a nice size but at 5'7" the low seat height will be a problem for me and I wanted to lurk around this board to see any solutions other than a pad for the seat. I'd like to enjoy the heated seats in the winter and sitting on a pad would probably inhibit that.

I'm sure lots of other questions will pop up and I look forward to chatting with you folks.

    Ron

i havent gotten a chance to really look at the 2016 and what if any difference is with the seat but i can say that in the 2015 i haven't really had a problem with leg room and I'm 6'1" but the problem I have is head room I used to own a ford and I was able to keep my hat on in the ford but in the tacoma my hat gets to ride shotgun

my legs are fine though but at least that is what I have have an issue with I don't know about others

Only as a passenger. My test drive for this purchase was my first time driving one. I loved the way it drove and handled, just concerned for the seat height like I said. Such a nice truck, I couldn't pass it up.

I drove one today, I'm 5'8 and could see and drive fine. Didn't feel low to me. I could see most of the hood.

How I would love to be 6'1", lol... or even 5'10" lol. I can see how the head room would be a tradeoff. I can't believe that in a $36,000 truck you cannot adjust set height.

I'm 6'1/6'2 ish and feel a tad bit cramped head room wise in the driver seat so I think you should be fine once you get use to it.

Hey Ice, I can see ok, just feel like I need to be another inch or two higher. I may be wrong and I may just get used to it. I'll give it some time when I get the truck.

I've only driven in a second gen once, but I feel like I could see more of the hood in the third gen.
