pushing truck TOO hard?

is there such thing as pushing a tacoma too hard?

i drive about 400-500 miles a week. and i dont drive easy. does anyone ever feel like their just driving too much or too hard?

Keep it lubed, aligned, and follow the preventative maintenance schedule...You'll be good to go.

haha thats exactly how i feel. its not even a year old its hard to watch it catch up to 15k

 

Dont worry about it....I was doin 500 to school and 800 every weekend for about 6 months straight, and Ive gone from Charlotte, NC to Portland, OR and back twice now.

Like everyone else said....its a toyota, you bought it for a reason!

 

lol 15k must be nice. ha ha, i am sitting at 160k now. had her for two and a half years and have put on 35k miles, and very few of them were easy miles. Just do the oil and all of the preventative mx and will run a long time.

 

ive never thought twice about it! its a truck...and a damn good truck at that!

 

Yeah, but when the truck starts right up and keeps on going and you stop and think that not very many vehicles can do what the Tacoma does after so much abuse. It makes you go

 

i took my truck up to gmr lol dont know why when i couldve gotten home in 20 minutes opposed to the 0:45-1:00hr. I push my truck hard... it has 202190 miles on it, but i change the oil every 3000-4000 miles (fully synthetic) and just changed the transmission fluid 30000 miles ago and what not. I drive around 100 miles a day so yeah.

 

If it's all freeway the taco loves you for it, if it's a bunch of stop and go city driving you will just need to keep a closer eye on the breaks and maybe change the oil at 3000 vs. the reccomended 5000. I use mobil 1 and change every 4000 miles. I drive about 70 to 150 a week.

i drive 112 miles a day to school and back...then to work and back...I40 running 75-80+....I actually was going to sell my tacoma a while back and get something more practical.....but gladly decided to fork out the 130 bucks a week and gas and kept my truck...its a strain on the college budget buttt the parents are helping out considering im a full time student

 

Thats ok, i will be looking for a 3rd gen Tacoma when I give this one to my kid. lol

EDIT: may actually be a 4th gen by then??!!!

The way your racking up the miles it will be a 4th or 5th The 5th gen is supposed to come with the flux capacitor stock.
