I thought I did the same thing. Ordered a vehicle with ONLY FPAT and Towing before SET put on their wrap. Dealer said they found one and will not put anything on at the port. I am still waiting for a VIN or Build date. I have no reason to think they lied but until I get a VIN or build date I am not certain I will get the deal we signed on placing my deposit. I may take a ride there today and see what's up.

I am on long island. Spoke to my salesman on friday who told me that my tacoma was built 9/17 (original scheduled build date was 9/9) and is in transit. Expected at the dealer between 10/6 and 10/12.

Let me know how it goes. I'm more central, west of Hartford. Talked with a few dealers. Are you leaning to one model more than another?

Likewise - I don't do much off roading (frequent trips to VT, MA, and NY regardless of weather) which makes me lean to the TRD OR with the premium tech package, but then again I don't really need a locking diff for that. Any input? Does the Limited perform just as well in snow and mud?

I hadn't heard from my dealer for a while, got in touch and found out my EPW (expected production week) got bumped from 9/7 to 9/26. So now I am hoping for a mid-October arrival at best.

So far as I know (obviously haven't tested one of these), there shouldn't be much difference as far as snow performance, short of what tires you have. The only difference that was noted in reviews is that the ride is less firm on the TRD offered due to the Bilstein shocks. Otherwise, I don't think there is much handing difference.

The TRD will also be a tad bit cheaper I imagine and all you are sacrificing is the chrome and the leather seats.

Don't forget the sunroof, and pre-packaged technology goodies being standard.

Thats true, but doesn't the OR with the premium + tech package equal the price of a Limited.

SO far as I have seen in other threads, I believe that it does...but that is at the least minus the leather interior. Just depends on what is most important for you.

My dealer only orders the things that must get installed in the factory. They dont want to build something that only a fraction of the buyers would want. So, they discuss the dealer installed options afterwards.

Not really The Limited is still more By around $1400 after you add the FPAT to the TRD Plus Limiteds come with the $650 Tonneau cover option as well
