New Firewood transportation vehicle. Need input on lift kit & wheels/tires.

Picked up a 2013 TRD Sport DCSB last Friday. 44K on the clock and looks like it's never had a hard day in it's life. Drove off the lot and transported a cord of wood the same day. Just a hair over 1/4 cord per load!

To start the modifications off I'm thinking:

• 1.75" lift kit (No idea which type or brand yet, looking for input)
• 265/70R17 BFG T/A KO2
• 4Runner TRD Wheels in gunmetal (not my wheels, just a stock photo)
• Considering an OEM bedmat, I don't want to wear the composite bed out. Although I'm shocked that the thing was barely scratched after tossing in firewood!

Opinions on C vs E rating for the BFG KO2? I'll be carrying at least 16 loads of wood a season & tow a 6' Landscape-style trailer when transporting a quad or other toys for trips. I do some OR 2x year in up-state NY.


Hoping to at least get the tires before winter. I have a long stone driveway on a hill and I'm too far out for the county slow plows!

 

For a 2" lift that doesn't make the ride dramatically stiffer but does allow for better load handling, I did:
-General 90-297HD leaf packs
-Bilstein 5100s (all four corners--fronts set at 0)
-OME 884 front coils

I am very happy. Around $1000 total.

Look into a back rack. It will pay for itself after the first piece of firewood goes through your slider.

Great advice. Last thing I want to do is toss a log through the rear window, or worse, hit the brakes and take a log to the head.

 

The latch strike for the back window is fairly weak too. It's held on by two almost microscopic screws and some adhesive. Mine fell off and I reattached it with more adhesive and slightly larger screws.

I love my OEM bed mat. @OZ-T spoke highly of his, so I bought one. Worth every penny.
