Did anybody else catch that they're only 5 lug?
    And unfortunately it's got a QSB 3.3 and not a 4bt.

I don't like that it's an emissions diesel, however 110 hp in what is a tractor engine has a lot of power potential.
The turbocharged 5.9 Cummins 12 valve was available in IH tractors in the early to mid 90's and was only rated from 95-130 hp. And it essentially the same as the Dodge truck engines, just detuned.

So they start with a 4 banger 5 speed... mate the diesel to the stock toyota 5 speed. Then they replace the axles but reuse the stock hubs brakes and wheels...

And i really like the little kicker.

^I think they started with a 6-lug regular cab 4x4 5-speed. Not sure how "one-ton axle" applies to the front. Do they mean beefier front diff and CV shafts, or a solid axle swap?

Don't understand the fascination with weak diesels. I drove a Prado with a 161 hp Toyota diesel in Costa Rica for a week. The thing was annoying to drive in the steep mountain roads: a lot of revving and turbo whistle but not much movement. And no engine braking when going downhill.

One can never have too many light bars.
Notice it says "For Off Road Use Only" on the bottom. This could be due to a bunch of things the first thing that comes to mind is crash testing or emissions testing. But that thing definitely has a market especially for utility companies that need a truck that can handle cranes and some equipment but need a truck smaller than a ford super duty to fit in tight areas.

^It would depend on the state. If you state doesn't have yearly emissions testing or "reconstruction" laws, you could theoretically hand them your Tacoma and have them modify it for you. It would be technically against EPA regs but there would be no enforcement.

You mean like importing a brand new 70-series Land Cruiser, like this dealer in SK? :D http://www.ensindustrial.ca/Products?&priProdID=9

Yeah unfortunately I'm in CA so I would be clear for 5 years until I had to smog it. I know AZ doesn't require it so it would work there.

I did some work for Rossing Uranium in West Africa (Swakopmund, Namibia). At the time, their on-site personal utility vehicles ("Baakies") were 4 cyl Hilux with a flatbed and headache rack. Some of the racks went over the back of the cab and the spare was up top, cantilevered. Simple machine.
