I just got off the phone with "Rene", a sales manager at Stevens Creek Toyota (San Jose, CA) and he would only accept a non-refundable deposit on an incoming vehicle. Fuck him, that is bull shit.

I hope that we consumers can collectively take a stand against this practice. I know the 2016 is a hot item and he would have no problem selling it, but that is bull shit. Our conversation ended quickly, and I'm pursuing other dealers.

Let us not give into temptation.

There will be only two types of responses to this thread and that will be.

    1. People that agree with the capitalist ways of America.
    2. Those who don't.

I'll be back to check if I'm right.

Would it apply to the purchase price of the truck?

This is probably the biggest misconception on this forum.

Saw a Black DC TRD OR on the lot at Piercey in Milpitas, CA yesterday when I had my truck in for service. Didn't have a sold sign on it...

So is it ok to raise gas prices immediately following natural disasters? If you are that kind of business, which you have full right to be in America, I will not support your greed.

I had a 15 Tahoe in today that was $73k and not even loaded. And 16 Equinox 4 banger that was $33k

I laugh every time I see someone complain about the price of the 3rd gen

    So don't.

I am sure "Rene" doesn't care either.

    Go elsewhere and be happier.

OK, well then they are being racist against 3rd gen

Let's all boycott gas stations because Toyota wants a deposit on a product!

Let's bow our heads in silence for the abomination

$40k for Tacoma truck capability is pretty proud. If you have a boner for midsize truck and only need midsize truck ability then it's fine, I suppose.

Outside of Toyota name, off-road prowess, resale value, and dependability/durability it really is somewhat underwhelming. I wouldn't buy one for anywhere near $40k.

    So.. YMMV.
