I'm sure there are a number of folks here running 275/70/17's on their Tacos. I'm also curious as to what you have for a lift/level if you are running that size of tire. If you do run that size of tires, can you post some pictures?

Great size tire, had this size Silent Armor's in load range D. Stock everything when I first put them on, suspension, wheels, everything. They would rub on the UCA in reverse, and I had to grind off a little bump on the knuckle, and front mud flaps had to go. If there where more offerings in this size not in load range E, I would b looking to buy.

I just put on the bfg at ko2s 275/70/17 and I did the same as gear head. Front flaps had to go and some trimming on the fenders. I have the bilstein 5100s with one 885 coils, Deaver aal, and spiderTrax 1.25in wheel spacers. In the end it all worked out with trimming and I love the way my truck looks now.

My build is running em. Link is below my signature. Billies set at .85" with 1.5" added with the eibach coils. Slight rub with the mud flaps on at full lock.

Not worth it IMO. You get 0.25" ground clearance gain over 265/70R17 for a heavier and wider tire (causing performance and mpg penalties) with some trimming required. Basically you do not get the advantage of a larger tire and pay the penalty anyway. Unless you can find some ultra light ones, I'd look at 285s to maximize ground clearance or 265s to maximize performance.

Hmmm, good point. I'm not really into having to trim anything. Thanks for the insight.

Not yet, the rubbing is pissing me off, I did some trimming which I tried to avoid. Any solutions to the rubbing?
