I've had the truck for less than a month and up until now I've had no reason to look under there. I might already have some sort of y pipe on there and not even know it haha

I know a lot of the stuff that I want to do, the only thing I'm struggling with right now is what order to do all this stuff in. Maybe that's something you guys can help with. I need to do things in the right process but I can't figure out what that is yet

Intake: gonna go with the AFE stage 2 CAI, everyone seems to like it
Headers: haven't decided yet between long tube or shorties
Y pipe: haven't decided yet between URD or Thorley
Valve body: don't know when I should get it (scared of the 10+day wait)
Upgraded fuel pump: not sure when I need it
2.8 pulley: not sure what I need to handle the extra boost
AFR gauge: I need to do the exhaust first

Longtube if no emission test. URD spec U or DTLT
Y-pipe: Stay away from DT. I've tried them it's cheap material and routing is not better than stock. The best Ypipe is the one that is part of the specU exhaust system.
Valvebody it's probably the one you can do last
Upgraded fuel pump is important and is a safety but if you wait for this one AFR gauge is mandatory.
No problem to do the 2.8 pulley and you dont need other mods to handle it except the AFR that will show you if upgraded fuel pump is required. If youre not upgrading the fuel pump, do at leat the OEM FPR mod.
For me AFR gauge is mandatory.

    have fun

-I live in Denver so I do have emissions testing but I'm wondering if I could sneak through with O2 simulators? Is it worth the risk?
-I want a y pipe but that will delete my rear cats so I don't know if I should buy a pipe and have cats welded into it or just swap out my y for the factory one come emissions time? I also don't want my exhaust to be too loud which I fear will happen after deleting the cats
-Can you buy the spec-u y pipe separately?
-where would I mount the bung for my AFR? On the Header? Y pipe? It looks like the URD y pipe already comes with an extra bung which is nice

-O2 simulator doesn't affect/correct the exhaust gas and emissions, just the signal of the O2 sensor to stay in the range and avoid check engine light.
-If you have emission testing you should keep at least the front cats so shorties headers is gonna be lol.
-Headers have a bung to install AFR sensor.
-I dont think you can have the Y pipe only cause it's part of a design. There is another model from URD but i dont like the routing Under transmission for 4X4.

So what would you recommend for shorty headers that come with a bung installed? And where can I get a y pipe that won't interfere with my off roading? Also, if I get a new y pipe I would have to cut it and weld my cats from my old exhaust into it in order to pass emissions correct?

I think the most know shorties are the JBA one. Your gonna have to cut your OEM cats and weld it to the shorties. Cause you already welding, just buy a bung and weld it.

I dont know any alternative to the Doug Thorley and URD Y-pipe.
