My son is 6, say his kid (my grandson) buys one in 40 years. At a 3% rate of inflation, $35,000 in today's dollars would be roughly $115,000.

    News flash, prices go up.

Obviously. Worse than that he might buy a GM

$34k? That seems awfully cheap especially with roof rack and side steps. MSRP on base model alone is $34,340 according to the master list here in the forum.

Invoice is not invoice in that, if they are a volume dealer, they make money even at invoice... something about kickbacks, incentives from volume sales, etc. So they make money even at invoice without you having to spend a dime on anything else...

I also do my homework with the financing... and first ask them what they can do on the financing before I share with them what I have. If they can beat the offer I have, I give them the financing as I know they make money out of it... as long as I get the rate (or lower) that I want, it is all good in my book.

Paint protection, seat treatment, lines, stickers, blah, blah, blah....are all BS charges that I do not care for... I have never paid for those. Neither for extended warranties or maintenance services...

Anyway... can't wait for the '16 to arrive to Orlando... looking forward to actually seeing on and doing a test drive.

My first time seeing a '16 in person. It looks a lot better in person! The AC version is very sleek looking. This one was missing the third bed rail (not sure if that's the case for all '16s).

That comes as a surprise to me. I wonder what sort of accessory Toyota will sell to individuals who need a place to mount their bikes.
