No offense but a post from a website forum does not exactly prove much of anything to a dealer holding all the cards due to limited supply.

Offense is fully taken. Who are you ?? 3 posts and you are shitting on us?

Dealers have a limited supply right now. If you cannot wait, you will be paying the TDA fee to your dealer unless you find someone else who doesn't

Point is the dealers will just say that info is wrong. Then what? If all other dealers want msrp what are you going to do?

There was no listed TDA fee on my deal in AZ. I double checked my invoice.
Deposit was placed before the truck got there if that even matters.

I agree. No salesman will care what info you got from 'some web site'.

How do you guys know if you haven't asked? You're giving them all the power. They can smell desperation from a mile away...

I would for sure ask, even demand. And if I wasn't emotionally attached to the vehicle in question I'd walk.

Wait, are you in the process of buying a car? If you haven't purchased it, and you have a backup vehicle for the time being, then hell yes you should walk if you're not happy with the deal. That's one of the best tactics when buying a car is to walk out and let them earn your business.

I find it to hard dealing with a single dealership/salesperson at a time. I usually find 3 or 4 dealerships with a vehicle on their respective lots that I want and email them all on the same email saying:
I'm planning on buying a car today
This is the deal I want (based on research done beforehand)
I can usually get at least two of them fighting and get a deal that's better than what I would have been happy paying.

I also include that I have excellent credit and if they can beat my credit unions rate then I'll finance through them. I also let them know I'll be putting at least 20% down. This at least lets them know your a serious buyer and gives them incentive to take action.

    $605 TDA (Midwest)
    $500 over invoice
    $200 admin fee

4x2 could have got at 0 over invoice plus the other two fees.

In central New York. Wouldn't budge under $1000 off MSRP of $40200. $500 TDA.

I have never seen that fee on a Monroney Sticker though . I think that represents possible dealer fees. SET does not add "dealer fees" to the Sticker. They add Mop and Glo and $300 mats, No TDA fees by dealers here. I never heard of TDA fees until this thread.

I made my deal before the truck was built and have a price..No Distributor fees or TDA.

$500 above Invoice Including their $349 Doc Fee.
