How is the ride on those load range E tires?

I'm prolly going with 265's as well, and was looking at the Goodyear Duratrac's...those do come in a C range.

Its a little bumpy. My wife noticed the difference, but I dont think its too bad. I would have preferred D, but E is what Discount Tire had and they gave them to me for the same price.

This is my first post. I have a 2002 xtra cab pre-runner. I just bought the fj wheels in gunmetal gray from ebay's Frank motors. Its 11:00pm and they have 2 sets available :D. I didnt need the rims now but I didnt want the hassle of trying to find a set later. My tacoma is silver with the black fender flares. My truck was a weekend crusier but now will be using it for everyday use. I had currently have 24" wheels which isnt the best for everyday use. Gas milage sucks but the truck looks good. I got the fj rims at a good price. 20 below the buy it now. Check these fj rims out http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYO...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item20adabfa2e. They are cool but the price is insane:eek:.

It also looks like these are knockoffs and not genuine Toyota/TRD rims.

like he painted them black, slapped a pinstripe on it and trying to triple what he bought em for.

priced these at my dealer 10/30/09. $150 each. assuming parts guy was referring to gun metal and silver, not black. didnt mention needing a VIN#. still considering picking up a set of these as well

The saddest thing is that he will eventually sell them. I'm glad I didn't buy a 2nd or 3rd set to flip since it sounds like they're now readily available.

If you read the description on the ebay page, it clearly says it's CUSTOM powder coated black and added a red pinstripe. Most people have no idea how expensive powder coating is. But the seller is asking too much. I would just paint it black and omit the pinstripe.

Ohhhhh dayummmmm! I just got mine in today. These things are the real deal...brand new genuine Toyota and absolutely gorgeous! They come with lug nuts, centercaps, and valve stems.

Now I just have to find a tire shop that will promise me they won't scar the rims when they mount tires.

I'm thinking I'm going to demount the stock BFG 265/70R16s and put them on these rims. With the Toytec group buy and these things I don't really have enough dough to go on buying new tires just to upsize.

Does anyone know if the metal valve stems from the tacoma wheels will work on the FJ wheels?

As long as the TPMS sensor came out of the alloy Tacoma wheels. Steel wheels supposedly have a different angle of attachment.
