Guys on the MT thread said there isn't a big enough demand apparently and that the stock ones are well built.:notsure:

Still doesn't make any since why someone wouldnt make one. I bet they would be getting quite a few peoples money.

Figured it might be something like that. But yeah I'm sure people would be buying them if someone made them.

I agree. It's hard to see how they are that well built considering the strange issue with the bushings. Also Total Chaos makes a reinforcement kit. You would think MCM or some of the other guys making LT LCAs could modify the jig to make OEM sized ones. Especially considering that people are paying good money to just buy a new OEM LCA rather than swap the bushings.

I had to use a bumper jack to get my shock on the lower mount.

Definitely. There is a demand. I'd happily replace the stamped steel stockers for a nice tubular design that has the option to do away with the swaybar tabs and comes with a provision for a set of bolt on skids if desired. Take my money.

It seems like this could solve the MT alignment issues as well.

Mine have 220,000 miles on them, not really surprised the bushings are going out. My little brother just had to replace his on his crv at 180k. Cost him 2x what its gonna cost me to do mine too.

As old as these trucks are getting to be, they won't be going away anytime soon and will continue to be a popular build platform for a long time. Somebody out there is missing a serious opportunity to cash in on this. Some will buy them just for the bling factor alone, regardless of performance enhancements.

    Agreed.

Here where I live in Alberta guys are buying new $60K and $80K trucks like crazy. My Tacoma is finally paid off and I don't care if it is the last truck I own.

I know Monte spoke to MCM (I think) about an OEM spec'd, stock width LCA. The response was they could do it but the price quote of $1500 said they really didn't want to. @Blackdawg

Forgot to try that but I need to head to work soon. Those 5125 are long rear shocks though. I will try lifting it up and seeing what happens either tonight or tomorrow.

Yep i have asked a few guys about it. No one wants to do it. MCM was the only one that gave me a price. And 1500..shit. No way. I had one guy really interested and exchanged a lot of info with him but then he dropped off the face of the earth.

I would like stock replacements for my DD too.

I bet if i had enough people with money ready to pay someone would make some.

Dirt king boxed lowers for 2nd gens are $1500, total chaos more than that. I as well could be interested in the future as there's too many narrow trails I wheel where LT would be detrimental.

Oh, and I still think Whitelines are the way to go for LCA bushings. Not that difficult a job, just a little time consuming.

$1500.00 is way out of sight for a couple pieces of bent tube and spherical bushing ends welded together. Most likely a one off price.
I'm not a fabricator, and will catch shit for that remark I'm sure, but I think this price was given off the cuff without any consideration to how easy it would be to actually start production on them. There is not much more involved with the bottoms than the tops other than the cam adjustment which is part of the sub-frame. And having them mate up with factory lower ball joints. Just my .02.

Well screw it. I'll pursue it a bit more and report back later. Maybe get a introduction price GB or something.

    And on that note,
I just rotated my tires, replaced the passenger side uca LT Racing ball joint, and replaced the driver side outer tie rod. It's been a year since these were replaced. I just did the driver side ball joint earlier this month.
I then ordered another upper ball joint and tie rod end for next year.
