Gents......my last thread got hijacked with a bunch of racial undertones and such and was shut down. PLEASE stay on topic here, ok?

Summing it up- BRAND NEW 'Coma got rear ended the other night. Ive owned the truck less than 3 weeks. I was seriously pissed.

I met with the insurance adjusters today. Good bunch of guys, they saw every defect i pointed out and didnt miss anything. When I told them the shop I intend to take the car to, the had great reviews of the place. (Thats when I told them my brother works there!)

1400 dollars of damage (I know, thats NOTHING in the grand scheme of things, but Im still pissed) and the car will be going in next week.

Im trying to come to terms with all this. Im still real upset, but Ive calmed down a bit. I guess thats what its all about.

I think the "I had a gun," part kind of set if off on a path that there was no return from.

$1400 is nothing, the emotional cost is obviously higher. So, I'm glad it isn't major damage and it'll be healed up without much trouble.

Im pretty active in the gun community, collecting and the military. I guess I just assumed everyone thought it was normal. Ill know to tone it down next time. But like I said.....stay on topic before folks start chiming in with BS again.

The emotional cost. Sounds silly, but its been a rough few days for me.

    I was on topic.

    But okay.

Either way, glad it's on the mend for you. $1400 is really a paltry repair bill on a new truck. I think you're fairly lucky!

Make sure in addition to the actual damage, you also make a claim for diminished value. Keep in mind the Taco is likely going to have an entry that will show on carfax. Therefore, it could prevent a potential buyer down the road from buying your truck assuming you ever plan to sell.
