Hey guys, so I have an SR5 and it didn't come with fog lights. I looked under the bumper and I see the two couplers on the each side to connect to the actual fog lights. Now as for the coupler for the switch on the dash/ I.P. It should just be hanging there underneath right?

First I ripped out the coin holder thing and I couldn't see anything hanging right there.

Then I decided to look more underneath by the OBD and I found a coupler just hanging there. Is that it? Or something else.

    Thanks in advance

I think it is, with those wire colors. You'll need a relay or two to make it work.

Taco-man, do you have a V6 as well?

Thanks for the reply man, just curious, I thought it was supposed to be taped up behind the blank switch. This one is down by the OBD, wtf? lol

I have a description of the correct wire colors for the fog harness in my thread somewhere. But it's literally buried.

@greeneggsnspam might be able to tell you.

You're looking in the wrong place. The blanks up above (by a few inches, in the dark grey portion of the dash) house the wires for the harness. Try the one on the far left.

Ok, in the picture I was checking right next to the power mirrors and traction control, I tried to reach my fingers up further but it was blocked. So what part needs to be removed in order to check behind those blank plugs? Thanks for the help guys!

That being said I am still pretty curious why there is a coupler just hanging there behind my fusebox :|

Nothing. Pry that bad boy out from the front using a super thin flathead and some sweet loving.

I think you'll find that the blank on the left comes out attached to a couple magical wires hahaha.

Your options are endless between the different sellers on ebay and Amazon. I went with auer halogen fogs. Essentially oem. If I could do it again I'd get LEDS with amber covers.

Yeah I kinda want to go LED because down the road I want to change the headlights to HID. I assume getting LED fogs is similar to an HID convert? With ballists and what not?

Actually I'm pretty sure LED fogs are plug n play.

Hopefully someone who's got led fogs will chime in but Im pretty sure they're no big deal. The housings likely differ from halogen housings, so it's not just as simple as switching a bulb but real close.

Yeah, but I imagine you could buy fogs with the housing? I checked my stealership price on the switch for the dash, it has the relay built in and its about $90! :annoyed: damn Canada, everything costs more as it is and then they butt eff us with tax.

Yeah, I have a chuckle when I hear our American brethren moaning about prices. Look up tacoma switches by mictuning on Amazon.com. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

How do they fit? Because the switches on the left and the switches on the right are different sizes, the dealership one has the relay built into it also.
