True, but he's kind of a fascinating case study of someone who's incapable of being satisfied.

    That's such a fanboy non-response.

I agree that if you're paying that kind of price you should be able to get such a common amenity as leather (read easier to clean than mesh fabric) in a truck. Other than that I'm a fan of the gen 3s just as much as my 2013 but for Pete's sake, who does a guy gotta lay to get some factory leather seats?

Be careful what you wish for. I've seen some of the execs at Toyota.

Why is that a fanboy response? If you don't like McDonald's, and I tell you, well then don't eat there. Is that a fanboy response? If you are not happy with what toyota is offering, than vote with your dollars. And don't buy one. Seems pretty simple if you ask me.

    No it's not.

But if I tell you I like McDonalds and that's my preferred burger but wish they didn't have sesame seeds on their buns, and you response is don't eat McDonalds it just makes you sound offended that someone criticized your beloved McDonalds/Toyota. Thus the fanboy comment.

I thought that the V6 was imported from Japan. Why does it say US?
I know that the tranny is made in the US. Hmm

Engines have been built at Toyota's Alabama plant for ages.

To my knowledge, last engine imported from Japan for US truck production was 1GR until Dec 2007 and only for NUMMI. Afterwards everything was build in Alabama but parts are coming from all over the world.
Its like the rest of the truck. Truck maybe Made in US but wheel bearings came from China.. :D

    The sticker suggests otherwise

This all started because some guy took a tour of the TX plant and the guide said the engines were coming from Japan. Everybody questioned that and now it seems everyone was right, except the tour guide.

No choice as I don't have enough money for a new 2016. In a couple of years I will be ready to pull that trigger on something more powerful than my 2002.

Both are from Alabama for Tacoma application.
