True but when sharing deals, the Tax and title should not be indicated, Just NET CAP COST of the truck which includes the Doc fee as it is added for higher profit and should be applied to the Sale peice of the truck before Tax and Tags,

My OTD price will automatically be $2500 less because our Sale tax is capped. That does not help the guy in California. So I list actual sale price before Tax and Tags, That is what I am paying for the truck.

"OTD" means nothing without knowing what Sale tax and title costs are incurred

 

Yea I get it. There should be another acronym other than OTD that includes everything but TTL (tax, title and license).

Good luck. Neither of of them would even reply via e-mail. Only Carlsbad Toyota did

 

Seems most of the dealers only have 1 or 2 on the lot at this point, so they have no reason to discount them already. We'll have to play the waiting game for now, but also remember which dealers at least were polite and responded.

If I math'd right, that's ~$1,600 over invoice. Not a great deal, but better than MSRP!

Nope, you're right. I forgot the $900 delivery. $700-$800 over invoice is a pretty good deal on these trucks right now.

Edit: A good deal based on what I've seen and dealers I've talked to. Many are not budging from MSRP, and a lot of other dealers I talked to were at $1,500 over invoice.

 

I emailed the 5 closest dealers to me and they are giving me nothing so far in terms of availability. One guy did ask how much over sticker I was willing to pay. FYI I'm in DTLA.

Haven't bothered to message him back. Not buying till I get my wedding dealt with and my current truck sold.

 

Thanks, this kind of confirmed what I was expecting. Here is where I'm confused. They are openly advertising this price on their site with a mid- October delivery for this particular truck. Surely there is a catch? Do they try to tack on fees once you show up and to do the deal?

Not bad...in fact very good considering many are holding at MSRP Especially in high income regions and areas.

 

Extra fees would entirely depend on the dealer. A couple dealers that I got quotes from only added the TTL+doc. Just get something in writing before you put down a deposit, and you're all good. Even then, just make sure its refundable and if you find a better deal in the interim, you can walk away.
