brutal!

 

Yeah I wasn't proud of that scene, but they're all pink on the inside fellas.

 

I will be going down to Tucson on the 30th and back up to Phoenix on the 2nd if that helps.

 

This is but a dream for me. I swapped to 4.56:1 gears last year and while this is great for off road it knocks down the mpg on highway because 80 mph is 3000 rpm. off-road performance makes it worth it to me. Average 16-18 mpg mostly highway.

 

Where will you be in Tucson during that time?

 

I think the wife just bought me a sweet new craftsman 30 inch tool cart for my birthday

 

I am averaging 15mpg right now, but that's because I sit in my truck running the ac waiting for work to start in the mornings. I also need to replace my spark plugs. That will help as well. I'm waiting till it cools off to do that.

I got a text from my credit card company telling me that a $200 transaction was just made at Sears. I went on Sears.com and sure enough on the front page was the tool cart I had been asking for was on sale for $185. She aint as sly as she use to be.

 

HOLY CRAP!!! Just checked out the DMV.... registering a vehicle in AZ is EXPENSIVE!!!!! OMG... what do you get for all that $$$$ ? Keeping my VA plates as long as I can!

 

Vehicle registration is more than at home, but there isnt a separate excise tax bill. For me, it was still cheaper than my truck in RI.

 

Just depends on how old it is. I can get a 2 year for my 00 Civic for 100$ and 1 year for my 2011 Taco for 350.

I got a 5 year for my bike for $38

 

It all depends on the year and make of the vehicle, I kept my out of state plates for as long as possible when I first moved out here. My insurance almost doubled moving from Colorado to here since the premiums are so high because of all the uninsured motorists.

 

Just be warned, I've known cops ticket outta state plates if they have a az dl and non matching registration after 30days of residence.

You get you're tags back on your taxes anyway.

Whats pretty nice is that being in the military you've got a 90 day grace period from you tag or DL expiration date to get them updated. Only that sucks for me right now is that I am a born and raised AZ resident and currently residing in AZ, so I really dont catch a break right now. When I move it will be nice though.

 

I am leaving for Cali at like 8 am from Benson, I could meet you right off the 10 around like 9 am or so on the 1st

 

When I was GA, I was able to register my vehicle for $25 with the military option.

 

You might be able to continue out of state registration as long as you don't have to get your emissions testing done. I kept my Colorado DL and registration/tags until they said I had to get the truck smogged. That's when I had to switch over.

 

I live in cochise county and we dont do smogging. I had an AZ DL when I was in GA. If you were active duty, a non GA resident, and had a GA zipcode mailing address within a certain mileage distance of the military base you only paid $25 for the tag. No smogging either. You only got this benefit if you kept a clean drivers record outside of a few minor speeding tickets and parking tickets. It was pretty nice.
