    What experiences?

The only experiences I've had with BAMF are experience where they saved thousands of dollars of damage haha

My rear diff skid had little prep prior to powdercoat that could have saved me some time. The lca skid bolts were all wrong for me and nicked the cv boots too. Just small things but saving a customer a small headache is huge

to many to list, check the build thread
a lot of people have mounting issues with the BAMF sliders, things not lining up, the tabs to weld to the frame are off through the length of the sliders. I couldn't tell you how many threads I've read where people had big problems mounting them up.

Have you checked with Addicted of road yet?
Looks like under $300.00 for a set and I'll bet he'd make some inserts for you too

I think front range lumber probably has some. I used them for a project that had a lot of cedar and their prices were pretty good.

I went with these, overkill for a step and narrow to the body.

These are what I would assume that you would use but not sure why it won't fit an access cab.

Then they have "trail tags", maybe he could make some for under the doors too.

Yeah, like I said, mine have worked great on the trail. That's not the problem.

First off, my sliders didn't come with gussets, it took a bit to finally get sent a set. One of the legs was cut to like ~22 degrees, as opposed to 20. This caused interference issues with the pinch weld and a larger gap when welding. The other legs are right up against the pinch weld. Should have just trimmed around it, but didn't know what I was doing back then.

I'll let other members voice their own experiences, but I know of interference with the rear door on a double cab, LCA skids without shims causing frame rubbing, etc. Just little shit here and there that shouldn't be happening.

I had a '73 back in college. I had to sell it to pay for tuition, sometimes I really question if it was worth it.

Oh Great Internet. I need your advice. There is a dealer that has the exact truck I want, Blazing blue, DCSB OffRoad. But they aren't giving me as much for my trade, as a different dealer, who said they will have the truck in a week or so.

So do I go for the truck now, and pay about $500ish more, or wait a week or so?

Help me internet, you are my only hope.

If you can get everything in writing from the second dealer I would just wait the week and save $500. If they aren't willing to put it in writing I would say pull the trigger. A truck in the hand is worth two in the bush...

In my experience 500 difference isn't that much difference on the trade in. If you're happy with that and it isn't say, $2000 lower than you want, then take it. You're trusting that the other dealer will actually get you the truck you want. I'd say take the one that is physically there now.

That is what I was thinking. I liked the other dealer better, seemed friendlier more willing to earn my business. But I could get my truck NOW!......Sigh....Going to see if they will come down a bit more in price. if they will then I'll be driving a new Taco by tomorrow.

Its very important. I bought my truck from Boch Toyota in Mass and it was 2000 cheaper than I could have purchased a white one that my local dealer would have brought up from VA. My experience with Boch was so terrible I feel it was worth that money to have trusting experience with a local dealer. I got a good deal, but it was painful and I now go out of my way to warn people never ever to purchase from Boch Toyota in Mass. :)

No they are not. But at the same time I have been wanting a new taco since last year, and I am getting tired of being patient.

The one deciding factor is the Dealer I do like is offering me step tubes for free, since the truck that they are getting in has them, and the truck that they originally quoted me for didn't.

GRRRRR.... I guess it comes down to how important step tubes are, and how patiently I can wait.

yeah if your anywhere near this forum for to long then you are going to kick those step tubes to the curb and buy sliders instead, trust all of us this forum makes you bleed money on mods :D

the real question is whats $500 bucks, get the other dealership to match that price with he truck in stock and call it a day!! if they are willing to loose the deal over $500 then wait for the other dealership to bite.
