I'm in. Ideally I'd like to see a price point similar to the Total Chaos or Icon UCAs but maybe the LCAs are more complicated somehow.

Edit: Also I understand that the volume may be lower initially vs UCAs so that affects the price as well. It's hard to believe that this couldn't take off tho if some fabricator was interested in setting up the jigs and dealing with the product delivery.

Incidentally, does anyone understand what may be causing the reports of alignment problems on 2" or 3" lifts? Is it the LCA arm length or the cams or what?

I haven't had my front end aligned yet since the new UCAs but I've just heard stuff.

What would the benefit be of an aftermarket LCA? Besides the bushings, not sure the reason :notsure:

    I would hope for
better/improved geometry, maybe push the bottom ball joint forward a couple degrees for better caster angles and more clearance with the rear of the fender/pinch weld area.
Tough enough to not need skids and retain stock ground clearance would be nice if they are made from plate steel.
    Just some thoughts I had.

Unless I had stupid amounts of money laying around, couldn't justify $1500 LCA's... Why not LT?

OEM lower control arms can be upwards of $1200 installed. When the bushings are shot you have to make a gut decision to either change the bushings or to just buy new LCAs. Also LCAs for mid travel setups benefit from reinforcement and caster improvements just like they do for LT setups. If you do the install yourself then the higher cost of after-market LCAs starts to make sense.

I thought about going down the LT rabbit hole but it was too much for me. Almost all at once you have to change CVs, LCA, UCA, coilovers, rear wheel spacers, fiberglass fenders, wheels, tires, bumps, springs, bushings, shackles, shock relocates, regearing. The MT setup allows me to stick with mostly OEM stuff as I go until I am ready to upgrade each component.

LT is 3000 more on top of the 1500..haha its a quiet the price difference.

And lots of people don't want the extra width.

I am hoping for a secondary shock mount/limit strap lower mount as TC makes a stock width secondary shock hoop already. That and it could get rid of the Sway bar.

    UPDATE

I have heard back from two companies so far.

    The bad:

SMP Fab is out. They aren't looking to take on that kind of project and recommended LSK.

    The very good and interesting:

Camburg is very interested. Carlos has informed me that they have been looking at it for a while and have ideas and plans. But nothing made yet. Currently they are just too busy building race trucks. But they hope to have something out within a year or so.

Yea and from a good solid company used to mass producing UCAs and the like. So should be promising. I asked if he knew of any details and potential price.

Releasing an LCA would also bump the sale of their UCAs. I went with TC UCAs but it was a close call. If Camburg had both I would have matched them.

I have only talked to them once but TC seems pretty proactive and plugged into the scene. They knew all the guys at ADS by name and probably know a bunch of TW guys as well. Maybe they will take an interest.

Just got a reply from Dirt King Fab.

They are in as well. Would need 5 people to commit to buying straight up to R&D it plus a test vehicle(going to confirm it it has to be local). Said it would include limit straps, hydro bump mounts, inner delrin bushings with grease fitting and they would be fully boxed.

Im not sure about this part...but Nick said "to keep the geometery the same they would keep the stock bolt on adaptor and bolt our fabricated arm up to it." Im not sure if that just means a hole to put the LBJ in or if we would have to remove the stock mount from the stock LCA and bolt it to the new LCA. I will confirm this.

What are Delrin inner bushings? Are they poly?

Considering they don't do a lot of fabrication work i didn't really consider them. But i will ask. Can't hurt.

Delrin is much harder they poly. Lasts longer too. You will feel the difference as well. It'll help transfer energy to the shock vs the bushing. Some don't like delrin but many like it better then poly.
